I have a provisional and I am insured on my dads car which I drive like everywhere with him/friends with full licences.
I'm 18 and am going to get provisional soon just for I.D, no point driving yet as I'm an unemployed student so can't afford lessons or car or insurance. If I become a community Midwife in the future I'll require a car so I'll probably learn when I'm at uni

what do you fail on? just silly stuff or do you mess up manoeuvres?

My manoeuvres were perfect, even though I thought I'd screw up on them. On my second test I did the most perfect parallel park ever! :P
Erm... first test I got a serious for overtaking too close to a cyclist which was just stupid on my part. Only got 4 minors so would have got quite a good pass otherwise. The second test I got a serious for messing up a right turn at a junction which I definitely deserved; I didn't even know what I was doing was wrong so I was wondering why I wasn't taught it, but yes, I definitely deserved that one :P I've still not killed anyone yet, so s'all good...

I have a full license. Had my own car throughout high school, but got rid of it when I moved for University. Plan to buy a new truck in April though!
I've had my provisional for a few years now. I'd like to take up lessons again soon.

You're old enough to get a provisional license and learn to drive a moped at 16, you could've applied for you provisional at the age of 15 and 9 months
I've got a provisional and no car, I'm currently learning to drive but I don't think I'll be getting a car any time soon the insurance is too much

It's basically a license to say you can drive a car but you need someone with a full license, 3 years driving experience and also 21 years of age or over to be sat with you while driving. So from what I can find it's the equivalent of a G1 license over in Canada :) In the UK we do not have a G2 type license, as you have to either be a student driver or a fully license driver with no limitations, rather than in between. That said, they keep trying to ban young drivers from driving in cars after a certain time and/or with passengers of a certain age.

yes and I LOVE it
Around 60 people who have either a provisional or a full license. Not really sure why but that's quite surprising :O
most people have a provisional these days with no intention to learn to drive. merely use it as ID, so not that surprising really
scottish
22-09-2014, 08:02 PM
yeah I'd say more surprising thing is there's more people here with license + access to a car (38 people) compared to those who don't have a full license (31 people)
But lol Voters: 69
