Is there anything you always thought was fact but isn't?

Examples that aren't true:
Humans only have five senses
Tomatoes are vegetables
Bats are blind
Cracking your knuckles causes arthritis
Fingernails and hair keeps growing after death

(if any of these are actually true, probably not, blame this (http://list25.com/25-popular-myths-debunked) site, I just copied from it ok)

I used to think that cracking your knuckles was cracking the bones in your knuckles lol

Just thought of that when I saw your list

This isn't fact but
I've apparently spent my life thinking Ryan Gosling is actually Ryan Reynolds. Never understood why anyone thought he was that hot lol.. Discovered the real Ryan Gosling the other day when I watched Crazy, Stupid Love :(

Idk just I saw loads of girls drooling over "Ryan Gosling" and didn't see the attraction (maybe because I was looking at Reynolds)
I can kinda see it now but still not rly

Aww I like that site because I knew a few of them like the Viking one.

Looking at another site, I always thought George Washington had wooden teeth, apparently that's false. Also, your fingers don't wrinkle in water due to the water, it's your nervous system or something.

Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy :'(.

I read that apparently your body does it to increase grip in water - some evolution stuff or somethin'.

I remember when I was like 3 or 4 somebody told me that the reason you get ear wax is because flies fly into your ear and leave the poo that they sat on in your ear - hence the ear wax colour.

I didn't know this was a joke at the time and believed this until I was about 10 years old.
