so im at work happily doing my job and ive made a elderly woman break down in tears because im apparently very rude and nasty.

i love being myself at work tho it makes the day go in.

who else has a job that involves you speaking to the public?

Yeah I have to work 11.5 hour shifts and I have to put up a smile and talk quite a lot to the point where I don't want to talk to anyone once I get home. It's very demanding. I'm becoming quite good at putting up with ****.

I work the self scan machines in Morrisons and being nice is so hard. The machines frustrate everyone so they take it out on me and I act very rude towards them if they act rude towards me. I've been yelled at, called names and one time a man told me to go hang myself. People still wonder why I'm not nice all the time. It's hard to be nice when looking at all the crap I get from people.
I have regular customers who are lovely to me and I am lovely back so I'm not rude all the time (Just to get that across!!!).

Well then, you deserved it then you ******* ****. jks ;). Must be a very tough job. I don't know why she'd try to trick HMRC into thinking she only had one job. I suspect you weren't actually rude, she was probably just saying any old **** to try and get out of paying tax.

When I had my job, I dealt with the craziest people I actually have no idea how I survived. One of my first days this chick faked a heart attack and it was so scary, then some dude ran into the shop high on something and was screaming at us all and shouting we were all going to die. Oh and the time the whole center got locked down because there was a man on the run with a knife inside the center and they wouldn't let anyone out.

I generally kept my cool when dealing with grumpy customers as I knew that all it took was one person to complain and I could be told I no longer had a job. My manager on the other hand couldn't handle herself and on a few occasions and bit peoples heads off. She got fired :) I have no clue how I survived 2 years in that place, I was one of the favorites though and when I left apparently people were asking for me!! - I was doing something right :D

Thought you'd all like to hear my work story of the day x

alright so like an hour into my shift this woman in a massive, heavy coat comes in and starts walking around all the aisles looking at everything. There were only 4 of us working today so we were having to spend most of the time in the back. But I come back out because I can hear noise and her coat is now 4x bigger. I go back and get my manager and she asks this woman to undo her coat. This woman kicks up a load of fuss but eventually unzips it....

Five packs of tampons, a box of tissues, a nail file, some boxes of plasters and a bottle of shampoo fall out...
And this woman then has the audacity to say "i don't know how they got there you're trying to frame me!!!!!" honestly me and the guy I work with were just sat in the back peering through the little window pissing ourselves
