View Full Version : Giant Habbox Party

:odey:
02-10-2014, 02:13 PM
Earlier, in the help desk, ToxicMint; mdport.; and me were discussing what it would be like if we decided to organise a giant Habbox party 'in real life'.

Do you think you would attend?

Do you think it would be the most awkward thing you've ever seen in your life?

Do you think departments and friend groups would all stick together even in real life?

I think this would actually be really interesting from the points you've mentioned! :P I certainly think people might tend to stick in their friend groups (especially if they've already met etc and feel comfortable around people), but there would also be that sense of "OMG ITS ____" etc :P

I would certainly attend, met like 11 or so habboxers now and even though I still get nervous I'm not half as nervous as I was a few years ago! Habbox has boosted my confidence in so many ways in that respect! :D

There was 5 of us in Cardiff and 6 of us in Ireland so I guess that could count as a mini party! :D

I'm guessing you mean like 20-50 people haha! That would be awesome, I doubt it will ever happen though sadly! :P

Yes of course id attend! and as for awkwardness i think it would be normal cos like ive already met loads anyways so it be no diff.
i definatley think the groups would stay tho it bound to happen.

Me and Red; would be the center ofc.
but then youd have all the individual clicks and then the odd loners like Intersocial; etc

I can't stand parties, I sit down, tap my foot to the music, drink my coke, make small talk with the people around me and those that come up to mingle and watch the clock to go home so I probably wouldn't go

Do you think departments and friend groups would all stick together even in real life? like martin said, probably would depend on whether they'd met or not!!!

Like someone mentioned with the moderation department policing the event, I think other departments should do some work too! The events department can organise some party games, the competitions department can do like a pub quiz style competition, the news department can take photos and update the twitter with all the evenings developments, idk about the rest

Given my age, I think I'd feel like the grandad of Habbox....................

For real though, I'd be up for this. I went to a venue for a reunion in London and they do group events, the pizza is damn nice and it's a private area. The only thing with hiring a venue though is you need to know that the people who say they're going to attend, WILL attend so you can give accurate numbers. Plus I've no idea how much it actually would be as it's in Shoreditch which isn't known for its cheapness lol.

As for paying for the venue, if everybody who wanted to go paid like a tenner (reward some exclusive VIP eh eh eh?), you'd get a fair bit through that. If this was a serious deal, I figure Habbox management couldn't organize it as it's going to look bad on them as an official fansite organizing real-life meetups.

I really wanna do this, hell even doing the event in Birmingham would be a good idea. Center of the country n all that.
