My Pet Chinchilla Lost an Eye

My pet Chilla known as Ebony was found with one of her eyes out of the socket. She was fine yesturday morning so the accident could have been from yesturday morning to night time when I found her. I was shocked and still do not know the cause. I looked after her all night to make sure the other chinchilla didnt try to touch her eye. The other Chinchilla would not have caused this as they are both practically sisters and not abusive.

The next day she was taken to the vet and they said that if she had a tumor then they would have to put her down and if it was an abcess then it would have been unpayable but thankfully it was just an injury which she is perfectly fine now :) however they removed her eye and stitched her eye lids together.

Ouchhh, poor thing.

My hamster when it was dying fell down three flights of stairs and hit the floors on the way, ended up with a huge cut down his side. Luckily we noticed, moved his house downstairs and he died not long afterwards (much better dead than suffering on).

She looks so cute! Although it's sad that she's lost an eye, at least it wasn't a tumour or an abscess other wise she may not be here at all. x
