Not sure why everyone is making a scene, it's not about the room design though - it's about the community bond the Help Desk has. Also, there was (is) a thread where people can submit their own HxHD designs where they would then go to a poll and everyone else would vote the one they like best. After Habbox sites were down (18th October) lots threads and content was deleted, so HxHD Management decided to just go with the room which had the most votes before Habbox went down - rather than making a new poll. Constructive feedback is always accepted, just perhaps not rude comments like you're making ;).

Seems like I'm by myself here, but I actually really like the layout. Would have been better if it was a bit bigger but I don't think it's disgusting at all.

I'm not a huge fan of the castle furni in general but I think it's a good design with what's there! It might be a bit smaller but demand for a big helpdesk just isn't there any more, and it often looks empty when it's bigger!

I couldn't agree more with you Chris. Also thing is no offense but we can't make everyone happy and at certain moments people will express their thoughts on something even if it is positive or negative.

Also I rather this layout than the B2S layout. Halloween was always one of my favorites holiday and Christmas as well but it is a bit early for Christmas layout really :P.

i think the whole community vote thing is a good start, but needs to be developed further. i think asking people for submissions is all well and good (and saves a bit of time), but they shouldn't be the be all and end all. if people have suggestions to improve the voted for room let them be heard, maybe form a small trusted room building team and give them a few days to think of small changes.

i think the current idea for hxhd is alright, but the execution is shoddy - as kyle says above, far too cluttered and some of the furni doesn't go.

People were told in the original thread that it can be changed to suit different ideas and that we are completely open to these, but the only suggestion I saw was more chairs (which were added)

But yeah like Kelly's said, when rooms are posted ANYONE is welcome to comment on them to suggest improvements, and when the voting thread is posted there's definitely always a comment saying that it can be edited of course. Builders' club is, and will continue to be, used for Habbox events and rooms because it's a hell of a lot easier to have than buying furni and then attempting to sell it on - and ends up cheaper for everyone! I'd rather have a nicer looking helpdesk in BC and bigger prizes for events than no prizes and owned furni all the time!

At the end of the day, you all had the choice to make suggestions to improve the current one, it stated this in the thread like it always does. The layout picked won by a clear majority. It's picked by the winner, fair and square.

If a layout really bothers you this much, I think you need to sort out your priorities.

Laura did kelly even have any input into that b2s layout? There was no call for layout suggestions as far as I am aware and those tables with bling plants as corners. really :S ?! and then we had to have it for ages instead of a temp layout; the welcome message talking about b2s wasn't even taken away. Kelly you did everything right. I have no faults with the halloween layout. I think you did a good job with it! I just don't want to see you and kellie pick crap layouts that have been submitted, that weren't good enough to picked first time round to poll.

AFAIK we don't have any access to that. Before, Matt's given department manager credits but I asked Chris for some for a competition and he didn't have any, same for Matt. Well, they had some but not that much. We can't take furni from Jins room, it's his decision what to give us and when but I sure don't get much, if anything!

People need to remember all of what Laura, Chris, Sho, Sierk, Matt and Jin are doing is Voluntary. If you start complaining, they stop doing it.

Well yeah, that's what we do. But not everyone agrees with what's the best thing to do with a design so like I say above and that quote, not everyone is always gonna be happy.

The way I've always seen it is that as long as the majority of people (on Habbo, not people on the forum who barely visit it), like it then that's what matters! I'm just trying to like, explain it to everyone suggesting things and being negative to show that we've done what they say and they've still complained.

Did you have the chance to pick "the god awful room"? To me it sounds like everybody had the chance to voice their opinion, so unless you missed the boat, it's the result of a majority vote that you don't like the result of? You'd be a great politician by that logic.

Builders club is a cop out? Okay then, lets go through this.

Pros of using Builders club:

- You get a large amount of furni available to you
- The amount of furni that's available to you is far more than what you'd get by buying individually
- It's great for people who need furni but don't want to spend tons of credits to get it all.

Cons of Builders club:

- Some furni isn't available through the builders club
- Your name doesn't get displayed next to the furniture when you click on it

Think things through before spouting, yes it's cheap... as in cheaper than spending £100 on credits cheap, not cheap looking, just very affordable. If this is a bother to you, perhaps you should try financing Habbox to get these changes so that all furniture can be associated with Habbox users. That'll be a great change that everybody will benefit from!

I guess you have a point though on commenting, I had to comment to get my opinion across that this is a non-issue that should be dropped. I wish I used the other communication channels to air my disappointment on a forum, perhaps send a mass PM to everybody to let them know what I think (inspired by Mrs.McCall lol), or I should make a new thread based on this to air my disappointment OR I could make a big Skype chat and invite everybody just to let them know what I think, because I'm not allowed to comment in the thread as it counteracts my point.

That's a toughie, I'll get back to you on what I think is the best course of action. Might be a while so do your weekly food shopping in the meantime. I hear online shopping is the way forward, pretty cheap. Not that you'd care how much things cost.

I do kind of agree with Ste, but the HxHD does look kind of out of place with some of the furni, it does look just that little bit cramped together, but as everyone said theres room for improvement on all of the rooms, just post it in the thread that was made for this particular argument, ive noticed alot of criticism too Laura, the management are trying their hardest to make it look good and i think the next design should look better, just like the one i originally came to when i joined habbox, i think it was the design before the HxSS started, i liked that design because it was standard and it stood out :)
But the help desk this time is okay but could do with some improvements if im honest, im looking forward to the next design too!
