Is this in the right forum idk? I'm counting it as 'Life' tbh.

I'm feeling nostalgic this evening so I want to know what triggers memories for you. Is it a certain sound, smell, flavour of jam?

I was just thinking about this because every time I listen to The Beach Boys and it reminds me of long car journeys where my Dad and I would listen to the same songs over and over again. And my mum would get so angry (because she always wanted to listen to Katie Melua) and threaten to sit in the back for the rest of the journey if we didn't shut up. And we'd always say ok so she'd sit in the back and sulk whilst I'd get to sit in the front with my dad and groove to The Beach Boys.
We did it to Queen sometimes too but my mum didn't mind them.

And the smell of bacon always reminds me of my birthday because that's what my dad used to cook me every birthday for breakfast.

specific songs bring back memories like n-dubz - i swear which my bro listened to on his computer while we played runescape and PKed together. a lot of really rubbish 2000s RnB

house of pain - jump around reminds me of when i wet myself in the car cos i was holding it so long and we were all jumping around to it. oops

yeah tbh its mostly songs that triggers memories for me but for some reason I only associate that with sad memories which is weird, like I would hear songs that remind me of a holiday or sometimes when im feeling depressed I will listen to certain songs over and over again so whenever I hear them after that I just associate that song with a problem

idk anything can trigger a memory really, just seeing a picture or seeing someone do something/say something, smells as well like you said. certain foods too

Music, people and places.

Certain songs bring back so many memories! Seeing different people that I haven't seen in a long time also bring back memories and the times we've had in the past. Also places like big cities that i've been to before and then revisit.

I relate a lot of my memories from movies, and/or songs. Reminiscing tends to do it as well, in the context of saying one thing, which leads to like 10+ memories flooding back that you insist on saying.

songs, I remember car trips with my mum and sister listening to the song american boy on repeat and singing to it. seeing different people tend to trigger different memories too, also pictures.

Mainly smells. Different deodorant smells always trigger memories for me. If I use certain deodorants it reminds me of different holidays and things like that.
