Cheap editing software?

Gonna need to edit some of my Youtube videos now i'm starting, so can you refer me to a cheap, affordable but most of all great piece of software to edit my video's on? Thank you :D

I believe Windows movie maker is free? If you use windows ofc.
If you making an investment into it, go for Final Cut Pro or Vegas 12 (not sure what the Vegas is callers!)

To start I used Vegas Movie Studio as it was much cheaper than Vegas Pro. It was good for simple edits and stuff, nothing too complicated. It didn't actually support my Flip camera at the time so I stopped using it, I'm not sure what it's like now as that was years ago. It is decent though.

But if I had to recommend great editing software, I would recommend Final Cut for Mac or Avid if you really want to spend lots of money.

If I was you, I would trial software first as it's always going to depend on what you want to actually do.
