David Cameron has narrowly avoided a humiliating defeat over the European Arrest Warrant in unprecedented Commons scenes which saw Tory ministers accused of “tricking” their own MPs.

The debate on the arrest warrant descended into bitter acrimony as MPs from all parties reacted with fury when it emerged that they would not be given an individual vote on the justice measure.

Mr Cameron was forced to return to the Commons dressed in white tie from a speech he was giving at the Lord Mayor's banquet as Government whips found themselves scrambling to shore up support and prevent Labour delaying the vote by a day.

MPs described it as the most “disorderly debate” seen in the Commons for 20 years.

The Government victory, which will mean Britain opts back into the European Arrest Warrant, was followed by an immediate blame-game from all parties.

Traitor SCUM. How dare they vote this through when they had the one-off chance to vote this through. If I told you what I really thought i'd have the Police knock on my door tomorrow so i'll refrain but all I can say is that if the time ever comes I would like to see the lot of them tried for treason and we'll afford them the same rights they gave Britons with this act.

...

Why?

Because it is yet another transfer of our Sovereignty to EU institutions - without a mandate.
Because it is making the EU's Corpus Juris superior to the British system of Common Law and Habeas Corpus.

Because it assumes that the judicial systems, prisons and police services of every member country are equal when they quite patently aren't.

Because it means that British citizens will be hauled off to face charges in foreign courts on the flimsiest of evidence - if there is any - and they may left to languish there for years whilst corrupt local officials concoct a case against them.

We do not need the EAW. Extradition Treaties have been in existence since the 13th century and have worked just fine.

This is an abuse of the rights of the British people: rights they have held since Magna Carta.

As far as I'm concerned Any MP who votes to destroy Magna Carta and Habeas Corpus is guilty of treason.

Next year we celebrate 900 years since the Magna Carta and these RATS are signing it away, giving European-style law superiority over English Common Law in this realm. Essentially, you can now be carted off to a second-world European country on the order of a French, Greek or Bulgarian judge with the British courts being powerless.

As for the Conservatives signing up for handing over yet more powers to the EU of which they are so 'sceptical' about: lying *******S. I can't find the quote at the moment either and I would probably pop a vein if I re-read it, but there's one from Cameron himself saying how much he opposes the EAW back in 2002. Lower than vermin.

If we ever free ourselves of these people, I would like to see criminal trials take place - under European styled law which they enforce on the great unwashed - enacted against this lot, starting with the chief Witch pictured above.

If there's one act this parliament you should be pissed at, it is this. A huge blow to your ancient civil liberties.
