I don't know the particular facts, how long it lasted and whatever else, but I read about a certain culture (it may or may not be true, it probably is). Every so often they would choose what they believed to be the perfect person to sacrifice (I think they judged based on their looks) but before then that person would live a certain amount of time in pure luxury--and I mean luxury. I'm not sure exactly how long, though. After that, they would sacrifice them to their Gods or something like that, in a rather brutal way. Although I don't think they actually had a choice, the choice is yours to make, would it be worth it?

If you can't be bothered reading everything wrote above, my question is this:

If you could live ten years of pure luxury - wealth, relaxation, ease of life, no working, relationships if wanted, anything and everything yours (within reality of course) at your very request, would you then let them brutally sacrifice you to their Gods after those said ten years of a perfect life?

I don't really believe in a god so I would.

This doesn't really have anything to do with whether or not you believe in a God...

Basically, after ten years, they'd brutally kill you as a sacrifice to their God :P. Death will happen if you choose to do so whether God is real or not!

"Pure luxury" would soon get boring so I'd rather just have a normal up and downs so after the bad times, I can truly appreciate the good times.

I would say no.

Unless I twisted the system and while I could have everything and any thing I wanted. I would want to change the ritual of the luxury for 10yrs to 100yrs.

:P

Ugh no thank you to 10 years of luxury. I don't think I'd find life very satisfying if I never earned anything.

As long as I've got enough to live on, I'll be happy. Don't need luxuries, if I've got essentials.

What an interesting question!

Ten years of luxury does sound very nice but the brutally being killed part is a bit of a turn off. I will stick to my normal life and try to enjoy the good times in it as much as I can.
