Excitement - for what seasonal day?

So we know Christmas is the main event on the 25th December of course, but there's other days and I wondered what date/event people most looked forward to and for whatever reason. For me although I enjoy Christmas Eve (going pub with friends) and Christmas Day itself with family, the date I am really really looking forward to is the 21st December which is the Winter Solstice when the days start getting longer again - because I cannot stand the winter and can't wait for more hours of sunlight. I'm instantly uplifted by the very thought that the horrid winter weather has passed the halfway line. :P
