I understand why the rule's in place for the habbo forum because its really hard to prove someone off habbo scammed you, but why on earth does that rule apply to ANY of the rl forums?

like - http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=816802 web market

honestly id rather be warned by another member with decent proof that the person might be going to scam me than make a purchase with no knowledge of anything about the seller's past due to a forum mod blocking out something that could have saved me a loss of money?

silly rule to put irl forums where people might actually lose IRL money...

You lot are literally going to hate this answer.

"We do not allow you to accuse anyone of hacking, scamming or illegal activities with or without evidence so as to maintain a positive atmosphere about the forum."

I do agree with intersocial, I'm all for a positive atmosphere on the forum but if other users aren't allowed to inform the community of another users dodgy activity in the past then its asking for trouble.

If I had to choose between keeping a fake positive atmosphere or not being scammed, I would happily pick the latter every time around :P

Well what reason was there to keep it? :P

Yeah I understand where you lot are coming from. It's certainly a different story when it's not a hc sofa

because isn't it usually only the accusing post is edited, not the whole thread removed?

Ah yes I understand the confusion sorry. Initially it was just the post i nquestion but in the end with everything that was posted including what he was trying to sell I thought it might have been best just to remove it from the forum.

That person is now banned and is no longer a threat to anyone here so it doesn't need to be there.

What if you can prove he scammed? will he be banned, or then can i accuse him of scamming

Yeah I never understood this rule, but it never really applied to anything I did so I never bothered mentioning it. It should definitely be looked at in good depth.
