on a roll with the thread posting to attempt and keep the forum alive

do you prefer being single or in a r/ship? why?

i prefer being in a relationship or at least speaking to and having someone there... i have MONOPHOBIA aka fear of being alone. that probably sounds stupid but i always feel the need to have someone to rely on i prob just am **** at being an individual and having my own person but dunno its just easy to have someone there to pick ur mood up and sort u out all the time. sigh i should work on that

this doesn't mean i force myself into liking ppl for the sake of being in a relationship though lol if they're a ****** person to me idc how great they look or w.e i'd rather be alone

I've been in a relationship for coming up to three years and don't miss being single, but there are times where you want to be alone; just yourself with not a thought given to anyone else. Most relationships come with a degree of consideration and often 'me time' becomes 'our time'. However, love is euphoric. If you're with someone you truly want to be with, then it's one of the best feelings in the world. And while you don't have to be alone to feel lonely, being in a relationship fills a lot of voids. Plus it's nice to have someone to cuddle at night.

even when i was single i alwaaaaaaaays, always had a crush and usually just on anyone interested in me because i NEEDED to be with someone lol but at the same time got with other people because was never truly into them

if i found myself single again id be able to enjoy it more than before because i have more confidence in myself and not feel like i need to be in a relationship to be happy or feel worthhy

I don't think I need to be in a relationship to be happiest per se but I do feel that I need somebody to be close to, to talk to often, etc. some of these situations do evolve into relationships but I can cope without commitment.

I havent been in a relationship for a good three years and i guess ive never experienced a 'mature' one (well not that mature but yknow i cant explain) so I'm not too sure what I'd prefer.

RN I am okay being single but I get lonely every now and then and it would be nice to have someone to cuddle and speak to at nights, though I can't say I desire love intensely :P

I have been single for quite a while and I don't really look for a relationship.

I'm quite happy to get what I want from FWB and not have to deal with people for extended periods of time.

Whatever I am, it's always the opposite! Right now I've actually been single for 8 months, which is basically a record for me since I started dating, but for the first time in ages I'm actually happy in myself for that, I don't feel like I need to be in a relationship, especially as pretty soon I'm gonna be changing my life quite dramatically, I don't really wanna get into something. However, I do miss things about being in a relationship and do wish I was sometimes. I've had the opportunity with a few people but turned them down because of the possibility of moving away or other things about compatibility and stuff which I've never really thought about before.

I much prefer being in a relationship. I've been with my current girlfriend for over three years at this stage and tbh it was kinda on the rocks last month and still isn't completely better now but we'll get through it. It's made me realise how much I still want her around. I just don't remember single life lol

I can't comment really as I've not been in a proper relationship for ages. At the moment I prefer the idea of being in a relationship.

At this point of my life I don't mind being single, I'm not actively looking for a relationship.
