So I just saw a trailer for the new Annie film, supposedly out Christmas time this year. It features Quvenzhané Wallis as Annie.

I don't know why this annoys me so much. I prefer the 1982 version by about 100%. This seems too modernized and upbeat for me. I've always seen Annie as the little orphan red-head trying to find her parents. The autotune on the songs doesn't cut it for me... Not sure if they had the technology to auto-tune the Annie in 1982 which gave it the more raw, emotional feel. I hate how they take older films and recycle them into something completely different... No thanks.
