52 Films Challenge – Week 1

Welcome to the first week of the Habbox 52 Films Challenge. This challenge is to get everybody participating to watch a wider variety of films and genres, and perhaps find a hidden gem they otherwise wouldn’t have thought to watch. People can watch the film together using software (there’s loads available, I’ll provide a few in this post) or watch individually wherever’s convenient throughout the week. Post what you thought about the film in the discussion thread whenever you’ve watched it and see what others thought about it. It will be interesting to see which films are popular and which ones aren’t. Let’s see how many of us will manage to watch all 52!

Watch Films Together (Online) -
https://rabb.it/
http://www.sync-youtube.com/

Methods to watch the films –
Buy the DVD/Blu-Ray, Netflix, Youtube, Stream off one of the many websites, Download (tut tut). If somebody needs a link to any torrents I can pm you it (just ask for it in the thread). Obviously nobody post any links in this thread otherwise you’ll get in trouble with the mods.

i actually couldnt find any versions with subtitles and i couldnt wait for the download so i just downloaded the subtitles and was scrolling through the notepad while the movie was playing lol #the struggle

scottish
06-01-2015, 01:28 PM
you could just download the subtitles, then ask your media player to open them (like VLC you can select your subtitle file and it'll sync it)

I used filebot to auto get the subtitles and images that go with an episode/movie, then serviio is set to burn in subtitles always.

Just finished watching it with wixard;

Dunno why loads of you disliked it, I thought it was really good. My favourite scene is him playing the piano in front of the German Officer.

Sucks that he died in a labour camp even though he helped loads of jews hide

Why are people hating on the film?? I thought it was pretty decent but, then again, I didn't come in with high expectations after people mentioned the wheelchair scene. I also didn't expect that scene to be quite as brutal as it was.
