View Full Version : do you have a memory box
if so what stuff do you keep in it?
not like one ur mums kept with all your baby stuff and whatev
i mean one you keep for yourself that you put all sorts in
and whats the story behind some of the stuff u put in it!
I do but I have very little in there. First wrestling video and first pair of weightlifting gloves are in there.
I laughed cause I took a look through some of my drawers with stuff I keep and I had a busted poster from smash hits hahahahaha but yea mine is filled with cards, letters, photographs, drawings, concert tickets etc
i dont have a box or nothing.. but i tend to keep most things in general if i can, not the the extent of hoarding but just like things that have some sort of memory to them even if it's good/bad and such.. i don't like to get rid of history/memories.

i have 2. one i keep all my cards that have been given to me e.g. Christmas, Easter and birthday card it also contains a letter from my dad i received the same day he died. my other one has lots of photos in and then some keepsakes like i have fish and chip napkin holder for my knife and fork in there because it reminds me of the first time i went Blackpool with my bf and James, a train ticket from my first train ride, a football match ticket from my first football game i went on, my baby record book, a hospital wristband from when i went for the day in 2009, my mums scan photo of me, a leaflet with a photo of my dad when he worked in France, a map of Scarborough and other stuff. am still adding but i started them both in 2012 so i had to find all my cards back to when i was born :P i love the idea of memory boxes they hold all the special things so you never forget.

I've kind of always wanted one, but never really had anything to put in it - it's like a diary, I've always wanted to keep one of those too to read back on it when I'm older, but the motivation just isn't there.
yeahh i've got one, it's a shoebox! i keep my concert tickets, setlists and little bits and bobs from places i've visited
I have a bag thing in my wardrobe that has things from my old school and memorabilia from when I lived in England. I also keep little things that remind me of the past. I should probably make something more permanent instead of the thing I currently have.

Not anything that's specifically located in one area, no.

I do have one, it mostly has things in it from places I've been like a dollar from New York and then I have things like small drawings I did in class years ago with friends and train tickets and small key rings that my family always get me when they go on holiday or something
Inseriousity.

This. For me, a diary/memory box would just be a reminder of how boring my life is lmaooo. I have kept the christmas card my cousin gave me like 3 years ago though (she was young at the time) because it was the first thoughtful thing she'd done for me and I assumed she didn't like me because she never spoke to me at all so I do still have that... somewhere. oh dear another reason I don't have one.

NoOO
I keep meaning to have a jar in which I write down good memories from the year and then read em on 31st December which is the closest to a memory box I want. However this is now the third year I have planned to do this and made no progress so I should get on that soon like

but yeah i usually get rid of stuff connected to past/memories i just dont see the sentiment :P
I used to have one and then all like trophies and letters I got used to go in there as well as family pictures but then I just decided it was a bad idea and got rid of it.
