Anyone on EE?

Just wondering if anyone here is on the EE network and uses their 4G services. What is your experience been like? Any major problems and so on?

yes usually very fast and coverage is decent but for some odd reason i don't get ANY signal in my schools sixth form block

Depends where you live for coverage wise - but I believe your city will be ok with signal :P!

Likewise with Customer Service, depends you can end of getting a useful person who knows what they are doing or completely the opposite.

I'm on EE (not 4G though) and I use to have tons of problems but I haven't really had any in the last year or so at all!

Always been with t-mobile / EE and never had an issue. Don't think I've ever needed to contact them before tbh as issues have been non existent. Oh actually when I was with t-mobile I went over on Internet abroad and blamed them and they gave me a full refund/credit against my account, but I guess t-mobile was technically different to Ee

Yeah would be different, but as always it's going to hugely vary depending on your area so better asking family/friends about coverage in your area.

EE is Orange and T-Mobile right never used them myself but have heard plenty of complaints (I believe EE are actually the most complained about mobile network in the UK) and the service is piggybacked off BT isn't or is that someone else

I cant knock EE, im on Pay as you Go with 100GB of data per month, Unlimited Texts, 1000 Minutes all for £10 P/M

BT were supposed to be putting in a bid or have done to buy the EE business though. From what I know, EE is it's own network and it was formed when T-Mobile and Orange merged together. Now other networks like Giffgaff, Tesco Mobile piggyback of O2 I believe.

But I guess, being the biggest UK mobile network - You will also get the most complaints.

I've never had any problems with all my time with EE personally.

EE is honestly a bit pricey for what it is and seems to be riding off a lasting impression of being more 4G than the others. I've found Three pretty decent price wise and they have free roaming (Including data) in core countries (Like europe, US, australia etc)

I agree with you Chippiewill. I'm on Three and I get 4G for free. So I wouldn't pay a hefty price tag for the same thing. Expect on Three It's very limited to where you go at the moment. You may not even notice it. It happens randomly.

Technically 4G isn't free as you are still paying them for the contract or whatever you are on. That's the same as any other network, what EE does do is push out via marketing that they are the number one 4G network with faster speeds, more coverage than the other networks.

Well they were the first to start pushing it out back in 2012 so I guess it does make sense.

Yes but EE tend to use their marketing to charge a lot extra for 4G when it isn't much better than the others.

I'm on EE, been on them for about 4-5 years now, i'd say it's pretty decent to be fair, customer support is always great and the speeds are good, only downside for ee is their prices are a little bit more expensive, there is deffo cheaper offers out there but for my iPhone 6 i took them as it was an upgrade and it was a great deal, but overall the quality of calls are good and the coverage is great.

What are you on about? Three offer 4G at no extra cost. The speed of their 3G network is also about 3x faster than that of O2 (I was hitting 10Mbps on speedtest as opposed to ~3Mbps).
Can't comment on their 4G speeds because I don't have a 4G handset. What I do really like however is that you can roam in one of their feel at home countries without any charges. I was in France a week ago and it was pretty useful being able to use my data and call/text people back home without having to worry about spending a penny doing so.

LOL, I know they have a 4G network too, but they were the last to launch it and it's very, very, very limited. Yeah I love their roaming agreement. Vodafone have a similar one.

They're pretty good signal-wise with 4G, though there are a few places you'll probably struggle with.

Their customer service is pretty awful, but their service is pretty good so they don't really need to customer service aspect I guess.

Generally speaking, "upgrade" is the worst deal going.
