no longer rv manager
He's only doin it so he can return and have the record for most stints as manager! Thank you for your time and continued dedication throughout the years. I feel like rv as a staff team has been defunct for a while though.

Rather sudden change. Would be interested to know what happened.
I suspect this is the end of RV as it currently stands.
Redundancy, he got a 2000 credit pay out.
Thanks for your time Dan!

Why do people keep removing Dan's post?
Are you really that embarrassed about the reason?

Because discussing dismissals is against the rules (the former manager or AGMs doing it).

Deleted posts still appear on tapatalk :) the reach of your censorship doesn't extend far enough! I didn't realise he was dismissed I thought he had just stepped down. Good luck to habbox if they continue with rare values as a staffed department, they'll not find anybody as dedicated to the cause.

I thought the policy was management wouldn't discuss it unless the person dismissed does.

A5. Do not post private details or information ~ We do not allow you to post private information about yourself due to security concerns. Disclosing any information about another forum user without their consent is also not allowed. This includes:

Can I just clarify what the 'security concerns' are here? :P Just to be sure who is in danger..

TO my understanding that is the policy... when it suits.

All I know is that in the past, former managers have been told off and posts removed - I'm not just going around deleting posts I don't like - in fact all of the AGMs have been online this morning talking about it and all moving posts!

*Former* managers. Yeah, I'm sure they care a lot.
Generally speaking, when you sack someone they don't really care what you think about them afterwards.
I think transparency is very important, and by the looks of it, most agree.

It's always been like that.
As long as the member in question who got fired posts stating it's allowed/they initiate it then others typically respond.
I remember countless times people got fired and xxMATTGxx; would be asked, and he'd say it's up to the other person to discuss if they wish to, it's never not been allowed for the fired member to state why afaik..
Inseriousity.
20-01-2015, 12:56 PM
that was my understanding of the situation too scott.
What is the point of rules when not even a agm knows what to do with it?
And also boo. I thought Dan was doing good. And showing more of the work he did for his department then most other managers, and I don't even care about rv

That's a shame. I don't really think it's a justified reason, but I'm only seeing one side of things so I can't really say one way or another obviously.

You can only make a judgement on the information given. Whether GM show their side or not is their problem.

If we're not allowed to talk about dismissals does that mean I'll get my post removed for talking about Bolt660; being fired a few months back or whenever it was... I mean, people talked about that openly.
Totally think the dismissal reason is laughable as well.

Quite a lot of people have come to me and said that they enjoyed it, and you can see by the leaderboard that a lot of people joined in, too! There were literally notices and announcements and events spread everywhere over every platform Habbox does so I don't really know what much else I could have done on that front - willing to listen to suggestions for next time though :)

20-01-2015, 09:08 PM

Can anyone post the takeover video so we can see the questions about Dan?

People turning up to events and comps as they normally do and then being given entry to the content week comp for it isn't really indicative of folk joining in for what it really was especially noting the number of 1-pointers. Not bashing the effort put in (other than the effort from Dan obv lolololol) but I don't think it can really be noted as a raging success when only 5 people really got involved and they're all staff
thanks for your time and hard work, you will be missed!

Actually, a lot of people specifically came on to play Content Run after they saw what it was for the first few days (I have had quite a few people on Habbo tonight asking me when I'm hosting it again, mainly non-habboxers in fact!) - and these bigger events my departments ran wouldn't have been done otherwise and people entered them!
Simple fact is, if literally only the 8 or 9 people who have come up to me and said they enjoyed it enjoyed it, then that's worth it in my books :) I've made a lot of effort and put in a lot of work to come up with it and host as much as I could, it's not something that's ever been done before. Staff are members of the community too, so why shouldn't they get involved in events? :)
What, absolutely ridiculous. You guys are losing your institution- those people who have the capability and experience to run Habbox. You can train up new people, but that needs a lot of time and once you get rid of your experience, you will have no one to mentor them. I predict Dan would be right to state that Rv won't find a new stable manager.
Also, what is up with lack of transparency. I thought it was always allowed to post the reason as the person wanted to. What is there to hide?
Thanks a lot Dan, you've always been truly great and it's really sad to learn that it had to end like this.
