Palsternakka - 10th Anniversary

On January 22nd 2005 a new section appeared in the catalogue called 'Palsternakka' (Finnish for 'Parsnip'). This mysterious section contained 5 pages filled with Christmas and Halloween seasonal furniture along with some of the most sought after items at the time (some of which were unreleased) with prices ranging from 1 to 25 credits. Despite only being in the catalogue for 5 minutes, a few lucky users who spotted it managed to get their hands on some ludicrously cheap Super Rares (See what they were worth in 2005 on Habbo RV here) (http://web.archive.org/web/20041204102838/http://habbox.com/rv.htm).

Notably, one of the items available was the previously unreleased Gold Habbo Tower Trophy priced at 15 credits. However as this was not in the normal trophy section of the catalogue, there was nowhere to enter a description and when users attempted to purchase one they were given a completely blank trophy (no name or date). Not many of these blank tower trophies were originally bought 10 years ago, with their numbers whittled down to only a couple of known examples still in existence.

Would be interesting to hear if anyone still remembers it, or actually bought something from Palsternakka itself - I know Jin still has one of those blank towers in his room.

I remember hearing about it at the time and for many years afterwards but even if I had witnessed it first hand I don't think my 4 credits from calling the funky Friday line would've stretched to allow me to afford anything.

Yes I think it was something along those lines. Well the bronze trophy (pictured) was valued at about 8T before it happened, then they had it in for only a credit :P

Yeah one of Callie's biggest bloopers during her stint as HM - wasn't there myself but seen a lot of documentation about it including yours. Quite hilarious really, wish I was one of the lucky ones to grab the rares, not that I had enough credits to even get a bronze trophy (parents realised how much of a waste of money Habbo is long before I did).
