Calling all hipster stans!

Which artist(s)/band(s) did you find out about before anybody else? How did you discover them? Any up and coming artists you've seen or heard lately that you think have the potential for a huge following in the future?

Absolutely no-one because it's literally impossible unless you are a receptionist at a local studio... although I guess going by that I could potentially say Royal Blood not that it makes me proud

Loved Christina Perri when Jar of Hearts was a tiny new record, had a chance to meet her but couldn't make it :(. Now she's massive!

Hozier was like my fav band last year, take me to church was my anthem while I was in hospital before Christmas 2013, now that's a super popular song and it's odd..

Think that's it thoughb

big ones for me have been passion pit, fka twigs, sky ferreira and the xx. none have been SUPER big though.

my picks for 2014 were a bit of a flop though.

i found out about lana del rey just before video games blew up and the only songs she had out were that one and a cute little diet mountain dew demo. now she's huge and has like 250 songs out there.

hmm can't really think. Foy Vance has gained in popularity recently since touring with ed but I have been going to his gigs since 2006.
Quite a lot of the time I will listen to songs before they blow up in the chart. The vamps I listened to on youtube before they got big.
Been listening to James Bay and Years & Years the last couple of months and I think they will do really well in 2015.

I remember when I first stumbled on Twenty One Pilots when they only had maybe 400 likes on their Facebook page.. And they had not made any YouTube music videos yet.. They weren't that good to be honest, but definitely kept listening to them... No regrets either.

JUNGLE

Saw them at Reading last year and after that heard them increasingly. I reckon they'll be big.
