View Full Version : Would you break the law if it'd benefit your family greatly?
For instance if you had no money and you did it to get some money so you could afford to eat?

It depends.
For your above example I obviously would, but for other things maybe not.

Yeah I am a massive rebel
Would you steal from somebody in your own position in order to elevate yourself above them and survive longer?

Depends who I'm stealing from, really.

It would depend what law I am breaking as some laws have basis in principles/morality where as others don't and should purposely be broken for being absurd.

If the odds were greatly in my favour and I was somewhat desperate, probably.

Morality is in the eye of the beholder.
That depends if you think morality is just something that is made up or has some natural basis, or comes from God himself. I do.

Spend a lot of time skateboarding, and that involves breaking the law I suppose. Trespassing being the main one, vandalism theoretically. And that's just for a good time.
Nothing wrong with stealing from the rich to give to the poor though! The rich don't mind tax evasion etc, so why not.
Depends how bad the situation got and how serious the crime would be. The idea would definitely pop up though.
