Apple have just released IOS 8.1.3 and after updating for myself, everything seams fine! Fixes in this version include the following;

Reduces the amount of storage required to preform a software update.
Fixes an issue that prevented some users from entering their Apple ID Password for Messages and Facetime.
Addresses an issue that caused Spotlight to stop displaying app results.
Fixes an issue with prevented multitasking gestures from working on some IPhones/IPad.
Adds new configuration options for education standardized testing.
Improved battery life on some models.

Not a massive update and only took around 10 minutes to download, not bad overall, some good fixes for some users!

I have noticed my iPhone 5 is a bit faster since the update and I was experiencing issues with spotlight which have now been resolved.
