So, how often do you visit the dentist and do you have to pay?

I go every 6 months and if I get anything done I have to pay nowadays. :( But it's not that expensive tbh.

YOU. Or do you not go the dentist as many people don't.

19,000th post woo.

I go every 6 months and I now have to pay. Luckily, my dentist is really nice and because I needed some work done she got it done as soon as possible (before I left college), so it meant I didn't have to pay over £200 every time!

buttons; mine too? I've never had it done before that I can remember then they started and it just made all my mouth ache :(.

I try and go every 6 months. I always make a repeat appointment when I'm at the dentist so it's only if I have plans that I change a dentist appointment. I too get my teeth cleaned every time I go to the dentist as well, it says that it costs like £10/12 to have your teeth cleaned but I never get charged, st range.

I don't go very often at all and I want to go sometime soon because I haven't been in almost 3 and a half years lol. I really want to go to the hygeniest to get my teeth cleaned but alas that normally means having to go to the dentist which terrifies me lmao

I can't remember last time I went I think it was like 6 years ago. Dentists are my worst nightmare I swear they try to drown me their watergun thingy

Also why can't the water be warm my teeth are sensitive its like biting on ice

Last time I went they drilled too far giving me a filling and messed up all the nerves on my top teeth, I went back explaining the discomfort, they said it was their fault but then had the cheek of telling me they would fix it but for a hefty fee, should have sued the *****s.

I go every 6 months and had to go private because I needed braces but not that desperately so private was the only option. As soon as I stop needing extra bits (which should be very soon) I'm going back to normal dentist. Plus luckily for me my grandma pays the bills at the moment ugh I can't even bring myself to look at the bills.

the thought of the dentist scares me even if i dont get anything done lmao just the sounds when other ppl get it done is SO nasty so i just try avoid it at all costs

I think I have to pay now. Only go ~once a year because I find it's hassle at uni.

I used to go every 6 month but it was wasting money to pay private prices when 99% of the time there were no issues at all, so I've started going every 9 months and has served me fine

I used to go every 6 months, now I go whenever I can. Actually going when I'm home in 3 weeks, first time in about 9 months I think. I have a checkup and usually a hygienist appt too (clean your teeth properly) - my parents have paid up until now but I'm going to be covering that cost. Cries.

I was called back to the Dentist every 6 months for checkups and they were free as I was still in Secondary education. Now that i've finished that, it's up to me to go and find a private dentist and pay for it.

I had some really bad experiences with the dentist when I was younger so I've always been a bit scared of going. I actually justhad my first appointment on friday just there. The last time I went before then was probably 3 years ago :(

I'm in full time education so I'm going to apply and see if I can get it any cheaper but I don't know if I will. It's so expensive as well!
