The whole banner idea is like Habbo Quests where they have this design, Would love to see it for V7 :)

It makes the forum look so tacky though and the ads that come up on websites i do not trust, I've had malware from some in the past and no way am i doing that again. Should have the banner added because it makes it look alot nicer imo

Mark, you're actually being so silly right now. The whole point of ads, is to support and fund the site. To refuse to get rid of Adblock with that signature is a tad rude. Why would they make it look pretty when they don't want it being used?

First off, pipe down - no need for that. Secondly, as people have said in the thread the Comic Sans is there to deter people from using it. You are being selfish by enabling ad block on the website, it's not that much of an upset.

And the way you replied back to what I said just confirms exactly my thoughts about you.

I bet half of you have got AdBlock on, I have it on for a reason but still contribute towards Habbox by "DONATING" I do not want popups here, there and everywhere. I can guarentee that 65% or more of these forum members have adblock.
Also, to have the agreement with Nick at the start. And you are entitled to your own opinion and i have a very strong one rn about you. I am not selfish, I am doing it to prevent my PC from being clogged up with ****! jesus ******* christ!

Yeah it might not be the most appealing banner, but it does its job I'm guessing? I only started using AdBlock recently because of all the pop ups that we were getting and it downloaded malware/adware whichever onto my laptop (which I was advised by (General) Management) to do so. The suggestion isn't selfish, but it's more why fix something that isn't broken? It's doing its part, you don't need to get so aggressive in your posts over it though.

The whole point of it is to make it look horrible so you switch the adblock off.

You can switch off popups I believe, also I believe Google allows you to decide what ads are shown now. But if you don't like the ads which are shown, these ads 99% of the time are based on your internet searches, if you don't want these ads shown don't do what you are doing.

I don't have one on at the moment, but if I do I just block the text banner, as well. Even so, you are behaving like I did in my first year of using this forum. Like a total ...

but anyway, the hideous text is there for a reason - they want you to turn adblock on to get rid of it.

I don't have a problem with it and the sites that the ads are from are from like your search history. It's doing its job and HQ's may look more professional, but theres doesn't really have a huge purpose

I can't really remember, it was an issue with one of the ads that did something when you visited threads or something. It probably wasn't a virus, but it was a problem anyway.

I don't think it's the end of the world, but there's no denying an unregistered user who has adblock enabled + visits the site is going to see it and think "ew gross, how poorly designed and unprofessional". It wouldn't hurt for it to be a bit better designed (maybe make it wider if that's somehow annoying) with an explanation in there as to what the ads fund and expenses are etc. which is a better way than jus saying 'turn it off pls'

then again, habbox v6 isnt exactly great design so at least it matches the main site too :)

If it was me, I'd copy and paste it about 6 times so you'd have to do a lot more scrolling every time you went to a new page.

You can turn the red text of anyway, by clicking block an ad on this page if you have adblock enabled, I do agree with some of the comments though

I used to use adblock but I turned it off not that long ago for habboxforum because it was causing me more lag having it on, than it was just letting a few adverts be on the page & take no notice of them
