I only have a couple more essays due until I finish my undergraduate, but no matter how much I know about the subject, when it comes to writing the essay, it's all random thoughts thrown onto a page until I can realise how to shape it.
I've tried planning ahead, but I can never seem to stick to it.
How do you plan for/write your essays etc? Do you have a system, or just jump right in?

I'm so behind i'm freaking out! jk i'm calm about it
I'll end up doing one the night before I know it!
I wish I could write essays in that sculptor-like fashion that you women seem to be good at where you throw the contents of your brains onto a page and tweak as you go along but I physically can't bring myself to do it. I'm a planner and a perfectionist which is a match made in hell. I can't move through an essay or piece of writing without meeting set goals and it very often costs me A LOT of time. It works very well for me, it's just not efficient in the slightest.

This is literally me.
I start like the day before and do it in the day. I work so much better under pressure and I normally produce pretty good content. Loads of people in my class hate me for it because they would work like two weeks on an essay and do much worse than me

I appear to be really good at essays. I absolutely hate coursework but love to write essays and I'm usually pretty good at them.
I ALWAYS plan beforehand. I write down the points I want to make in the order they come into my head, then write a number by each of them so I know what order to write them in. I'll usually write smaller at the sides if I want to write notes to myself whilst I'm writing like if I think of quotations, facts or an idea I could discuss.
Then I'll write~

I used to always write out a massive plan and then go into it, but since I've been at uni I just follow guidelines typically and throw one up. The current essay I'm doing I've put a lot of planning into it especially as I've been finding it so hard to actually put stuff into words and found my understanding to not be the best :(

I stare at a page and cry... a lot
Lol I'm doing a Critical Source Review just now as part of third year and I've left it last minute. It's to be handed it for Monday afternoon and I haven't even chosen all my sources to review :'(

I haven't written an essay in over a year and I've to do one soon. I'll probably just write notes as I do the work I've to write the essay on and then just spend a night writing it up, reread the next day, adjust as necessary and then hand in.
I've not done an essay yet at Uni so we'll see how I go ;) My first one is due on the 27th of March.
In school we just did them in class and we'd be occasionally allowed notes, which i'd always do as I pretty much just copied them.

I have 3 essays coming up, one on economics, one on nuclear weapons and the other on small wars.
I just jump right in and send it off.
