I would like to think I have good manners and I am quite pleasant irl but I suppose that is essential for working in hospitality. I've been told by a lot of people in work like colleagues, managers, a few mothers etc. and I think it's what has landed me my summer job when people more qualified than me didn't get it.

Do you think you have good manners?

I always try and place good manners at the forefront in a public environment. I would never go to a restaurant or a shop, or anything like that and be rude to people who are only doing their job. Working in customer services makes me realise how many people do have bad manners though, and it's horrible.

So I'd like to think that I have good manners.

In the privacy of my own home, I can be as bad mannered as I like though ;) welshcake;

Yes. I hate eating with my hands EVER and I'm extremely polite irl. I can't stand people with bad manners. A lot of people at my sixth form don't even know how to use a knife and fork and it makes me so mad.

Yeah, anytime i'd go to my mates house when I was like 16/17 his dad would always be like JUST MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME STOP BEING SO POLITE

When I have to. I don't swear at all and am always polite but often find myself coming across as rude in terms of not wanting to be around or talk to people.

Same for me. Despite my sarcasm, I have good manners all round in mine, and other's opinion.

The only thing I dislike, Chris you may agree, is that I have a habit of telling other people off for things I've always been told not to do :(

Used to tell kids off when I worked in a restaurant if they were rude :P

I do have very good manners (IMO). I really hate it when others have really poor manners and therefore I do go out of my way to be friendly, makes sure I say please and thankyou and so on. I've been complimented in the past for my manners and I think it's something everyone needs to have.

I do and the barman at a packed club last night introduced himself to me and shook my hand for having good manners when ordering a drink lmao apparently most people just bark orders at them but I thought it was fairly standard to say please when asking for any service

I do have good manners and my telephone manners are good too. I'll go out my way to say thanks or smile and someone etc to make them feel like they've done something good or just to brighten their day and I'll stop and chat to someone if the situation arises to be polite and kind! But if you're a ****, i'll talk to you like a **** :D
