What charities have you supported and how?

I always donate and stuff when I see collecters on the street and I take part in stuff in college but these are the bigger things I've done:

RAG Crew 2015 in my college for Childline, Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, local SPCA and a local community project. The amount raised hasn't been announced yet but we are estimating about €5000
€750 for a children's hospital by doing a skydive
€500 for Oxfam when I organised a local gig

I'm a big supporter of Parkinsons UK. I donate every month.

Big supporter to Cancer Research, few others too, like smaller charities but my mum mainly supports them.

MIND, RAG for the past two years, a few community restoration projects, I used to volunteer at an old peoples home to read to a wonderful lady called Mary when I was younger, and I'm signed up to work with a charity involved with prisoners families based in Birmingham later this month. I'm not a fan of all the shaking tins at passers by nonsense and only tend to get involved if I can interact with or directly impact those concerned.

I always donate to Cancer which I donate 100$ every year, I know it is not much but it is the thought that counts.

I use to do something years ago called 'Jump Rope for Heart'. Everything fundraised when to The Heart and Stroke Foundation

I don't really trust large charities so don't tend to donate. Anytime I do "donate" is when a slice of what I pay goes to charity or if I don't want a bit of copper in my pocket so I just put it in a collection box.

I only donate small amounts once in a blue moon.

And I only donate to smaller charities too, most of the big charities have other agendas that they'll piss your donation up the wall on.

My parents donate to a few different charities each month. I can't think of which ones off the top of my head though (Red Cross is one of them).
