Hi,

So in my bedroom I currently have a projector. Which is hooked to Sky & my xbox, Now I am wanting to clean my room up completely, with getting a proper white screen and potentially sorting out all my wires and putting my projector on the ceiling, Now I am unsure on the best way to do this, because what would I do with my sky box & also xbox? Has anyone ever done one of these setups that could advise me on best way to make this as neat as possible?

Thanks
Ross

is it not just a case of getting longer cables

Ive always wanted one, so that it would point to the ceiling and I could watch a movie laying down!

I would personally google it, and see how to hook it up :)

Wait, so you also want the Sky box and the Xbox on the ceiling as well? Or just the actual projector

Schools have the same problem but with computers. They get the wall connectors and put wires through the ceiling.

Attach the projector to the celling and then just run longer cables along the ceiling and then down the wall to your xbox, and sky, and enhouse the cables in tubes.

If you can get into the roof/attic you could just drill a hole where the projector will go and another where the ceiling meets the wall and go from there. You could either use any form of power supply in the attic/roof or make a power supply using a free socket in your room by cutting a piece of cable that can go all the way up there and then attach a socket on the ceiling or inside the ceiling. The Sky box and Xbox could just go somewhere in the room on a nice looking shelf by the projector screen and you could feed cables up the second hole you've drilled. Ideally, you would drill a hole near the projector screen for the projector power and the A/V cables etc, for obvious reasons.

It all depends how committed you are.

Alternatively, you could raise the projector onto a shelf somewhere and point it at a blank wall to avoid drilling into the ceiling and finding a way of getting power up there.
