Do you have any genuine phobias where by you act irrationally around something?
I have a genuine phobia of spiders where i'll literally scream, run like a madman and feel shaky from coming close to spiders. I literally despite them and can't think of anything more nightmarish than coming into contact with them. Another phobia or fear rather I notice I have is when I am standing on walls or a ladder over 6ft high, my leg starts shaking uncontrollably which actually then makes it dangerous for me when I know I am more or less perfectly safe. It's been annoying really when I want to reach something like to cut a branch back and then that starts.
How about you?

Mine also used to be spiders but at my old house I'd see them a lot in my room so I don't really care anymore. As long as they don't come near me I'm fine. I had a spider that lived in the top corner of my ceiling and he'd just chill there. Named him Percy, was great.
My real fear is being trapped in small spaces. Can't do it I'd lose my mind

But I mean, I'm scared of a lot of things like fish and empty spaces and stuff but I guess it's not a genuine phobia

I think my only genuine phobia is of pigeons. They scare the living daylights out of me! I try to avoid them at all costs. I remember when I was in town a few months back and was on the phone to an estate agent and ended up screaming down the line because one flew at me. I was so frightened.
the dark
i hate walking alone in the dark too idk it's scary

Sheep. If I'm driving along and I see them, it's quite dangerous; you know, living in Wales and that has it's downfalls.
I'm scared of a lot of things too, like all insects, the dark and locking the front door at night.

Spiders and lots of other bugs. Not a fan of dogs either.
I have also never swam due to a fear of it. (because of drowning mainly, but not completely... i don't even know, it's just a fear)

I am a bit weird when it comes to phobias, I sort of grow out of it and then become scared again when there is a reminder of it somehow.
I remember on holiday there was a fire at the nearby market and theme park, and the rumour was that it was started by a gas bottle igniting. At the time we were staying in a caravan and of course that's powered by gas and we had them attached to the caravan. I was convinced our caravan was going to blow up and believed that as long as I wasn't the nearest person sleeping to the gas cylinders I would survive. Ended up sharing the bed with my parents and woke up in the middle of the night closest to them (note they were outside, I was inside) and I freaked out, woke my parents up and everything! From that day on I wanted to go home from the holiday and then the fear didn't stop when I was at home either. I couldn't sleep for nights on end, I was convinced something would happen, I tried protecting myself by putting sheets up against the walls so nothing could harm me? I was a weird child, but I eventually grew out of that. I then began fearing it a couple of years ago, but I can't remember why! Now though, I just have a general fear of it even though it is going to happen at some point - it is not really a fear of death it is more how I would die and when. It might be a phobia, probably not a genuine major one though.

Huge fear of fish. I can't even look at them no matter if they're cooked, dead or alive. I just hate them and freak out. Even the thought of them makes me cringe away from myself. But I know where that fear came from
Same with ALL insects and slugs. Fear of insects is fairly common but the slugs thing came from stepping on one once.
When climbing something that is only one way up and down that is mine.

Don't know about for anyone else but I was on holiday in Corsica when I was about 11 with my parents and it was really really hot so we found this river where loads of people were swimming and we hopped in ok. And we swam about for a bit and then my dad was like OH PUT YOUR HEAD UNDER THE WATER THERE ARE LOADS OF MUD TROUT and i did and this trout swam straight into my slightly open mouth and it righted itself almost immediately but I just nope nope nope never again
