Did your school have a swimming pool?
My primary school didn't although we did have swimming lessons sometimes in another school which was quite far away and my high school didn't have a swimming pool either. Infact, my university doesn't even have a swimming pool as of yet which is pretty unusual I think.
How about you?

My primary school didn't, but we had external lessons every other week once you go to the juniors, my high school did, but I usually had to sit out of lessons, because my skin doesn't cope with it, and in uni there is one, but I've never even seen it.

I really enjoyed it. If you did GCSE PE, you could take kayaking as a sort of, subject within that subject.

Nope!! I'm so jealous I would have loved to have a swimming pool in ours. We used to just always use the local one instead :(

My primary school didn't, but they took us to the swimming baths to learn.
My high school had one, but we were conjoined with a special school and it was reserved heavily for their students which was understandable.

Yeah mine had a swimming pool. It shut down after I left though as I don't think it was safe anymore.
Yep all my schools have had swimming pools.
One of mine backed onto a country park as well so we did kayaking and sailing and all sorts of stuff in the lake.

In junior school there was no need for one as the town's swimming baths (not pool) was a 2 minute walk away from school. Unfortunately, we had to stop going there after a partial roof collapse and they decides then to close it, although there were numerous petitions and pickets as that swimming baths had been there even when we were known as a mining town. Also, a lot of residents didn't agree that the new location for our swimming pool would be the high school and it would take on the name of swimming pool and not swimming baths, it would also be small.
After the closure of that, junior school swimming stopped for a period of time and then we changed location to have lessons. We had to take a bus there each week therefore classes were mixed and where we went only had a large pool. Unfortunately, we then we're forbidden from going there as someone had a poo in the pool from our school. After that we didn't go swimming anymore, but the students at that school now use the high school facilities.
When we started highschool the swimming pool wasn't built, it had only just been started. However, then the sports hall burnt down and it luckily missed the swimming pool structure, but this was before I started. For the first couple of years, all our PE lessons were outside as they now had to build a sports hall and a swimming pool. We eventually started having lessons there, but the pool was really less than adequate. It was so small, the staff were rude and there were only a few cubicles and lockers to use. However, it gained more people going to the school just for swimming.

No. A close by secondary school did and apparently it was disgusting and never used, so I'm not particularly disappointed.

Nope neither primary or secondary school had one.
We used the local leisure centre's pool :)
no and I've never heard of a school having a swimming pool
primary, secondary and 6th form did, the former two had the same pool and it was disgusting and outside.
My first ever primary school dead, then we just went to the local pool for swimming lessons after that.
Nope, our closest swimming pool was 8 miles away. In primary school we'd go swimming every Friday and a bus would take us there, would have been so much more convenient to have it in the school

No we didn't as their is a massive sports and leisure centre across the street which is run by the local authority so we had swimming, gym, tennis, badminton and also golf P.E. lessons there.
My second high school had one.

My high school didn't even have a proper football pitch, it was an old farming field which they apparently converted into football pitch but you would sink into it as soon as you stood on it lol. Our school was quite small and in a smaller town. Only the big grammar schools would get funding for "cool" things. Although in primary schools we had swimming lessons every Friday for 2 years and in 1 year of high school we had swimming lessons every Monday for a month (in November when no one wanted to walk 3 miles to get to the local swimming pool).
