We have been asked to design a website for our coursework and this is what I have so far, It's just the home page but will be adding more in. It's not being hosted but you get the gist of it :)

Will be using this for examination

Thread moved by e5 (Forum Super Moderator) from 'Show off your website' as I think it is better suited here.

Could I suggest keeping the CSS in a separate file? :P

Other than that, looks good, good luck! :P

Few grammar errors there too ;) but idk if you're being marked on that.
HAHA MARKED. Good luck though.

It's not getting marked on that to be fair but its more the layout :)

Im not an expert when it comes to coding but as Rhys said would it not be easier to keep CSS and HTML separate. I found it much easier

I would definitely like the CSS code up like this:

<style>
h1{
color: green;
}
</style>

It's much more easier to find and keeps it easy to read etc.

Indentation is crap
Line spacing/breaking is crap

Do people actually use word wrap and display all characters on n++?

Yeah the formatting of that code is god awful. If you wish to do this in future it's probably best you start sorting formatting out now. It really makes all the difference in presentation, making it far easier to read.

Formatting is wrong, the CSS needs to be in a separate file. Maybe even add foundation as no one suggested that, to make it mobile friendly. (That will also require CSS) so have 2 CSS files, one being foundation.css and style.css

If you PM me the code, I will edit the code to make it more tidy/clean. Not sure if that's allowed as it's coursework.

It's only my coursework, they aren't looking at the coding. Just the website, It's how I've been asked to do it.

And No. I am not allowed to have other people helping with it, It's being assessed when it's finished :)

And plus, It isn't going to be on any domain. It's just going to be uploaded to the network the examiners have and all they have to do is open it up and it's there on chrome or firefox.

Aesthetically it's fine and if this is your first time coding that is quite impressive. I'm sure the lecturers are just looking for an explanation of what you did and how but then again they might want you to steal code and just explain the layout you have produced at the end?

As everyone else has said though - and the first thing I thought was to separate out the CSS and reference it from the HTML document. It's just best practice and super easy.
