It's been almost a year now since I bought a one way ticket out of Scotland to go to a completely different place for a fresh start. I left behind my family, my friends, most of my belongings and came somewhere where I knew no-one, and nobody could judge me for things I'd done because, in a way, I was a new person.
Could you do this? Could you give up everything for a fresh start?

You weren't a new person, you're still and always will be the same person.
I'm pretty sure everyone could do it, it's a matter of if they want to or not.
I could do it easily, but I have no reason to nor would I have any interest in doing so.
It also depends how far you're speaking, I'll be moving miles away from everything in a few months, but it'll be a 40 minute drive back so..

I'd happily take a one-way ticket to Alaska.
Heck, I'd be better off going on the Mars One mission than staying in the UK.

Yeah I'd happily do it, so long as the place was right.

I doubt I could do it easily to be honest.

I moved away from family, friends and all that to work at Butlins. I didn't know anyone but my best mate. I didn't miss my home at all, just my parents and dog lol
I guess I kinda am this summer by moving to the other side of the country. I am so nervous about it but I know it's something I need to experience.
Inseriousity.

I've applied for jobs everywhere but I'd rather not have to move.

At the moment no. I couldn't cut everything out and just start again because my life is here. Maybe in the future that will be different.

Yeah definitely as long as I've a place to call my home. Sorta did it in August when I moved to England with my doggy, but on the plus side a few months later I was joined by my partner and other dog :) if I was single I think I definitely could still do it

Ngl, I would without a doubt.
It would be hard but i've kinda gained experience (moving countries and leaving everything behind twice now). I think moving away is good and allows you to see the world in a different light. You go out of your comfort zones and meet new people, I would do it. Social Media, air-travel etc means you can stay in contact and travel back to see them pretty easily too.
A fresh start is just the start of an adventure!

I keep going on and being excited about hopefully moving to the USA when I'm older, I'll know nobody there and will have no friends to start with, the more I talk about it and think about it, the more I don't really want to do it, I love my friends and my family, I could never do this easily.

If I won the lottery and I could take my family with me then I would leave the place and friends I grew up with. I don't think I would ever venture too far away though.

Asking this a while ago it would be a definite no, I had studying to do and then a job, my boyfriend was here as well as my family and friends. Now though, it'd be extremely difficult, but u don't have studying to do, the job can be transferred anyway providing there's another shop near, but if I was going to move anywhere it'd be with my boyfriend. That's not really leaving everything behind, because no I couldn't do that - I get terribly lonely and depressed from it and honestly u wouldn't want to put myself through that. Although, I know my boyfriend is applying for jobs around the country, but with what he studied and what his degree is in he could end up in any part of the world for a number of weeks or months, I think he could move away from everything, but for me it'd be really difficult to do so.

I can't stand being away from home. I don't think I could ever leave my country forever either.
Leaving the realm every winter though..... that is more than agreeable. :P
