Is turning the Habbox.com's signup process off, really a smart move?

I know there isn't a tonne to do on it, but really?

It doesn't work anyway since Habbo updated as we can't grab mottos - AFAIK we can still manually make accounts though so it's not much difference. Don't get a huge amount of signups to the site anyway!

As you know, our current system pulls the habbo's username and requires it to be identical to the code generated. Seeing we can no longer fetch motto's; that means the registration system can not actually process the registration request.

The whole point of the motto checker was to verify that the username being created was in fact the habbo's account holder.

So for me to remove that section of code will be defeating the purpose of the system in the first place.

We have already changed the registration system for version seven, although with the beta release out within the week; we feel there is no point re-doing our current registration system.

Should just remove the motto part for now and allow registrations. By someone signing up under GoldenMerc there isn't much or ANY damage they can do to my name

Doesn't really matter at this stage, V6 is closing shortly. You wouldn't have noticed it if no one made an announcement about it anyway.

Was asked twice in hxhd yday why it wouldnt let them register and I always just say to leave it and sign up to hxf instead. hopefully in v7 we can avoid all the hoop jumping :P

Yes it's the best idea that's been had in ages, having accounts split over two sites is stupid and takes away from the usefulness of both
