This is just out of curiosity, really. What do you think of playing Habbo as a 21+ year old and do you think there is an upper age limit/group of when you should quit for good and not look back?
Do you think there's still a stigma against older players like there used to be?
I'm 22 and have recently rejoined Habbo, it feels quite weird at my age. I used to play it a lot, like addictively, from ages 14-16/2006-2009 before quitting, have rejoined a few times since then over the years, usually for a month or so, before drifting off or quitting.
The scene I'm in especially is the military r/p scene (the 'respectable' ones) where there's a mixture of young people and older people, mostly those who have been around for a number of years who are now in their 20's or even older. I rejoined to socialise/chat with them mainly, not really to take it too seriously.

there are a lot more older players than you'd think - Habbo seems to be fairly good at having people stick around. I notice it especially from fansite communities that people do stick around for a long time and keep playing every so often, if it's not as much as before anyway.
I've been called a "paedo" just for being 20 (at the time) and on Habbo... you're always gonna get people like that but end of the day you don't have to say how old you are and if you enjoy something, why should age stop you? This applies to anything, not jsut Habbo.
Just don't be one of those people who gets all entitled cos they've been there for ages and belittles new people for the sake of it! They're no fun.

Pretty sure this thread is made like 4 times a year.
But really it doesn't matter, a hobby is a hobby. People who have been around since they were 13/14 have made friends, and Habbo(x) is a way they can be with them and enjoy themselves, so why should they go?

It's not as fun for me as it used to be. You have to be more careful about what you say than you used to be, which makes it harder to joke around, thus making it less fun.
Isn't 18 classed as an adult still eh?:P
im 21 and don't really play habbo anymore. I occasionally log on to see what's happening, but habbo doesn't really target my age group anymore nor do they do anything to particularly interest me :( it's a shame really because I did enjoy it and was a super addict, but there's just nothing left anymore for me.
Habbo was better when it wasn't as well known, and C4 didn't get involved because now habbo have to be so strict too.
HABBO and games like it are targeted towards young to mid teens so unless you have grown up with the game I don't see why you would want to play it. People that continue to play religiously past 20 are the ones I worry about because a lot of them are very mentally deficient and appear to fall behind in other aspects of their lives as a result of playing too much. There are a lot of players that are still heavily involved with things like fansites and the constant helper schemes and the "drama" that comes with them that turn out to be in the mid twenties and early thirties and it just makes me think damn imagine if they had dedicated their lives to something even just a little bit more meaningful. Casual chatting and sporadic involvement imo is fine at any age but when HABBO is prioritised over real responsibilities it becomes a cause for concern.

I am 21+ and I don't really play properly anymore. Every once in a while I will log in but that is it.
