Hi so I got elbowed in the face at sixth form today and it was literally right in the eye. Like I felt the tip of her elbow connect with the underside of my eyesocket and it hurt so much.

But my eye has slowly been swelling for the last 7 hours now to the point where the two lids are stuck together and only open if I try to open my eyes really hard. I have work tomorrow which involves me seeing most of the neighbourhood so my question is:

What's the best way to deal with a black eye AND what's the best way to cover up the bruising + swelling?

For the first two days or so use ice and then after the two days you need to start using a warm cloth. Dip cloth into warm water, hold to eye until it cools.

That's just how to get rid of it. As for covering it there's not a lot you can do besides make up or an eye patch.

i remember once I had a black eye because I was hit i nthe eye with a golf club :(

thank u so much friend
a big steak is actually not a good idea though because u are putting a bacteria covered steak onto your not very bacteria resistant eye

Thanks but omg :'( I want it gone by tomorrow i'm gonna resort to prayer in a second
an eye patch would probably just draw even more attention to it so I guess I'll just have to see how it is in the morning and if any makeup can make it look less warzone-y

Just give yourself a second black eye and nobody will notice a thing.

Probably all you can do is what Phil said, or at least that's the case from my limited knowledge.
