Do you talk to your online friends more than real life friends?

Do your close online friends have you on social media (i.e. twitter, fb, etc) and have your phone number?

How far would you allow a online friend 'integrate' into your life (i.e. would you only allow them to be on phone and not fb, etc)

Absently

(I'm assuming you worded first part wrong) Ummmmmmmmmm, I'm not sure which I'd talk to more. It like depends really, 'cus sometimes I just cba to socialise and won't talk to my irl friends whatsoever and just talk to online peeps about meaningless ****.

The only online friends that have my mobile number are people I've met up with irl and needed it so I could be like "hiya I'm here", I have a good few online people on my fb idk why half the time 'cus I randomly go around deleting them when I cba. I think I do associate some people as close as my irl friends too.

I talk to quite a few of my online friends more than my a lot of my irl friends. Like some people on here I speak to every day and then there are people irl I could only speak to once a week if even.

A good few people at Habbox have my Facebook I think and some have my Twitter. I'd be carefuly about giving people my Facebook but anyone can have my Twitter lol and yeah some people from here have my number.

I was wondering why I was having deja vu when reading this thread :P: www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=816521 (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=816521)

I'm more comfortable with online friends to be honest, I've never been much of a socialising person. And for that exact same reason, I'd probably want online friends to stay online but who knows.

I'm not going to lie, I know for a fact that I talk to more people online than in real life.

I talk to online friends more if I'm not near real life friends so like, right now when I'm at uni it goes something like: uni friends > online friends > home friends (generally speaking, anyway. There are certainly some online people I speak to more than uni people). I solely use Twitter for online people as nobody I know in real life actually has twitter or if they do, it's just to follow celebs and that. As far as fb and phone is concerned, I'm quite happy to share those with both sets. I have about 10 online people on my phone contacts I believe and probably around 15 on fb. I remember first exchanging numbers with an online person and it felt so weird, but I got used to it and realised it's not that big of a deal.

If someone's a genuine friend then they rank pretty much the same whatever medium I use to talk to them, but I don't tend to give out deep personal info and contact stuff to many

Definitely online friends more, even through snapchat and text.

My online friends are my real life friends too so that's the best way of explaining it from my point of view really haha.

How far would you allow a online friend 'integrate' into your life (i.e. would you only allow them to be on phone and not fb, etc) erm all the way i guess

like i've met ross with my irl mate and just told him i know him from online and have met him before. he didn't really care anyway

I talk to people online more than I do people that I know in real life. My friends don't actually have much in common with me now that I think about it.

At times in my life I have but not atm no. Richie is the only person I really speak to a lot atm.

Yup have a good few on social media and likewise have my number

Pretty much fully integrate. I've allowed my inrl friends to speak to Richie lmao just as long as no one mentions habbo then I don't mind.

I don't really have online 'friends' - I know people online on here and like them, but wouldn't use the word friend really.

Yes I speak to them more and they have me on social media and have my phone number. I think of them as my real friends, I never refer to them as an online friend. :P

I don't really have many friends IRL - only about 3 that I regularly see/speak to. One of them lives so far away though and I only see him once or twice a year so that's mainly online anyway.

I don't really class a difference between online and IRL friends, I just call everyone "my friend" I guess. Quite a few people from online have my number/social media though.

It's not massively often I'll have a "friend chat" with someone, most of my talking online is to do with habbox work haha. There are bits of chatting as well though... I'd say it's pretty much even between the amount I talk between the two even though I spend a lot more time online.

I would say I have more online friends than real life friends. But then some of those online friends, have become "real life" friends as I have actually met them/meet them on a regular basis. For example: The past couple of days I've been with a friend who I have met online via HabboxForum. (Recursion) and now would consider him a real life friend.

A lot of online people have my social media, I let anyone follow me on twitter. Facebook - You need to be a bit more closer to me If I accept you on there. And the same goes for my phone number, I only give that out to people I am a lot closer to.

no i talk to a group of uni friends everyday but i do talk to some online people more than other rl friends but my real life friends i've always been closer to and online friends cant match that no matter how close we are.

i have 2 ive met irl, 1 who lives near me and 2 i've been long time friends with on fb. i don't mind people having me on fb if i've met them or we've been friends a long time. only have 1s number i think cause i say happy bday and merry xmas every year, otherwise there's no point having someones number if i'll never text them.

yeah i integrate ppl to my life but i'm no longer interested in integrating as my social life irl is getting better. but i would be up for meeting anyone. my friend has met tara and niamh and i don't see the big deal as i see them as my friends since we've met a couple times now, talk most days and you forget you've met online.

I've pretty much have allowed a few of my online friends ( .ExtremeSlayer; and Rachel_137; ) to be integrated into my real life friends.
I have them both through texting, and snap. I consider them as my "real friends"

As for others, I truly just keep them separated...

Interesting questions/theory's O.P .... though for the first 2 are no to both

I guess it depends how you mean for the latter - in real life or not, do you mean!?

all a bit of a whole sort of general mish mash, real life friends that I used to live close to I speak to a few times a week online or by text, I talk to a few people I've met online daily and I talk to uni friends whenever I see them which is sometimes daily if not we will mssg in the holidays. Distance is definitely a good thing, cba with daily f2f interaction how draining.

Dunno it's tricky to call rerally I think! Having online friends you can 2revert" into a Semi-random world, but like with real life frends - unless I've known them years - even my most inner thoughts I'd still wanna keep personal to me!

when i speak to online friends it's mostly speaking once but for a long period of time and when i speak to real life friends it's more often but for short periods of time. i do have my internet friends on pretty much all of my social media except for facebook (minus a few people) because i communicate with my family on facebook. i honestly don't mind online friends integrating with my life, my closest real life friends know i have lots of internet friends and have even talked to them and skyped with them in the past, one of my real life friends even once said she wishes she were able to communicate with strangers easily online like i do because she wishes she could recieve the emotional support i recieve from some of my internet friends, eg i feel more comfortable talking to internet friends about personal issues because i find it more difficult to interact with people i know i have to encouter everyday. lots of my internet friends have my imessage and phone number and i don't mind at all. to me, they're just as much friends to me as my real life friends other than the distance factor :)

I do talk to my "real life" friends more because my online friends are older than me so they are usually at work or college or something, but my real life friends i see everyday in school or community theatre or outside club sports. I do love my online friends as much as my quote on quote "real life" friends. I mean just because some of our friends are online doesn't make it not "real". I am really social with my online friends as much i am with my "real life" friends. My online friends have my social media, snapchat, phone number everything, because they are my friends, and just because i don't see them everyday in my state/life doesn't mean they aren't my "real life" friends. :)

Some of my online/good friends are :) Bikini .ExtremeSlayer OldLoveSong

It's about 50-50. Sometimes online friends can be your escape confidante from your real life friends when you are in distress or fustration but they definitely make good companions (:

Do your close online friends have you on social media (i.e. twitter, fb, etc) and have your phone number?
A few have my social media but never phone number.

Well it really depends. If i get the vibe from you, we hang out lots, we help each other, idk it's just that feeling, we can always meet and hang out (:
