What do the following abbreviations mean?

JPEG
GIF
PDF
BITMAP
VECTOR
PPF

JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group, the original name of the committee that wrote the standard.
GIF - Graphics Interchange Format
PDF - Portable Document Format
BITMAP - The .bmp file format (sometimes also saved as .dib -device independent bitmap)

vector isn't an image extension.

Vector is a font. I gathered. And it wasn't for hwk. I was having trouble uploading images and found .gif more efficient.
And yes it did help thanks :)

Thats vector art.. and VECTOR could be an extension, programs can write there own extensions...
