I took about a 4 year break from Habbo to come back in 2014 and I'm seeing people on my friends-list who I was close with question who I am and give me different names to what they told me ages ago, I've had a few admit they bought their account and so I sent a report to the help tool, and literally got a reply about that they won't give me a name change. I didn't ask for a name change in the post, are the help tool morons, does Sulake even care about these sad imposters?

They won't give you a name change unless yours is inappropriate, if the people on your list aren't who they used to be just delete them :P

No, Habbo Support are a bunch of losers who give nice automated replies based on trigger words as their first language isn't English.

Your reply is just as bad as Habbo Support, go read his thread again.

So hostile. What I read is he took a break from Habbo, came back and the people on his friends list had sold their accounts, there's nothing he can do about that apart from delete them as, like you've pointed out, support staff don't really take action. I see he wasn't asking for a name change which I misread but it still stands there's not much more to do than delete the friends.

they see "account name" and assume you want it changed.
I don't think the support staff are English as Sulake are a Finnish company i believe, so chances are their support staff are too. They probably just misunderstood so you have to be really basic with them.

- No prejudice or anything intended, I just posted what i assumed.

Yeah they probably just have buzzwords and it's not a real person replying to it. The only way to get them to look really is to report the profile in-game but a lot of people (especially with good names) have definitely sold them on.

I wonder what happened if you were friends with an old account that got deleted in the merge but someone remade that same name account? Are you still friends with the person on the list?

the terminator movies made the rise of the machines seem so daunting but sulake shows that humans will always be superior

There was a name deletion in 2011 and loads of old accounts were cleared. Some of them could have gone in that (allowing new people to register their names)

Makes no sense, they wouldn't appear on my F/L if the names were deleted.

tbh why don't they just ban them instead of giving them a name change?

Nah, They don't give one and ban some people over stupid things :/

depends if you have actual proof of them telling you they purchased the account, otherwise no.

Why is some low life buying a habbo account, pretending to be authentic claiming they have been on that account all this time (most likely because they were touched by the local Tesco's fruit department team) a stupid thing?

You probs bought your account, most people on this forum did.

Lost faith to support and mods long time ago. They don't actually read or even skim through what you are saying. When reporting someone, even as serious as advertisement of a very obvious porn site, they do nothing.

Actually, i made this account around 20th of April this year, so no - i didn't buy it.
I've had accounts before too but they were made early last year or a few years back.

So please - don't assume people just buy there accounts!
