i've tried oil pulling before since i bought coconut oil for my hair and skin and hated it so wanted to use it up
you're supposed to do it after 3 or 4 hours of eating, if u do it before eating you'll notice you'll feel a bit nauseous. it's probably a pile of plum but it does make your teeth feel clean, not sure about whitening though.

I was reading somewhere that it's best to do it before bed so your mouth is fresh all night, I guess that kind of works out about what you said about not earing for 3/4 hours prior to using it. As for whitening I wasn't sure either, I don't know if it just cleans the mouth so that the crap in your mouth doesn't have a chance to discolour your teeth or it does actually whiten them. I guess time will tell if u manage to get a 14 day course, I heard it's daily stock sells out within minutes of jt being made available.

yeah i think it is night time but i don't think you're supposed to do it so soon after drinking either and since i drink tea at night i used to just wait until the morning before breakfast and a cuppa to do it. lol its funny cause oil pulling used to just be coconut oil or other oils, now theyre making it into a product........

lol btw it doesnt make ur teeth that bright. the before pics are just taken in bad lighting, thet all have white teeth anyway. still, does make ur teeth feel clean

Never heard of it, I just get laser teeth whitening. Quicker but slightly more painful (sensitive teeth after)

You're making me a little more sceptical of this product now Jen lol. Is there any other oil I could use to get the same result? e5; laser whitening is so expensive though. My dentists charges like £400 :(

Find someone else that does it turn. My girlfriends dad runs his own business doing it and they have clinics across Leeds and Bradford, and used to do appointments in their studio garage as they made it into a clinic. They usually charge £60 instead of the £400 price because they pay for the machine and after that money has been made back, they just need to make a profit with their time and the other stuff used. I get really good results!

I don't think there is anywhere like that here, there is a place in the local shopping centre but I'm a bit dubious of them as I would like an actual dentist to do it and not some 16 year old chav who went on a 5 day training course. e5;

LOL fair enough if you haven't got that sort of thing around you :( laser teeth whitening only really lasts 6-12 months then you have to get a top up anyway

I've recently tried cocowhite to see what its all about!... I got the mint version which from what Ive read is the best flavour... 1st off you get mini pouches of hard white coconut oil and you can either warm it up in your hands or I found it better to just squeeze it all in my mouth. The texture is really weird and I did gag 1st time as you just get this hardened oil slowly melting into your mouth... once it melted and you just gently swirl it around your mouth for 10-15 mins don't go crazy like mouthwash as your jaw kills if you did that! but just gentle swishing around your closed mouth is good! I did mine before bed once you've done I spat mine out into a lot of toilet paper and then chucked it in the bin because it says not to spit out in sink due to it being oil & it clogs the pipes, Then I brushed my teeth as normal! I after a few days I did notice my mouth felt cleaner and my teeth looked whiter I wouldn't say it made a huge difference in shade but they did look whiter! I've not bought any since because I felt 19.99 for 14 packets was expensive and you can get some better toothpastes from boots (I love pearl drops for coffee/tea drinkers) or somewhere that will do a better job but thats my opinion... I think its a good thing to just try as everyone gets different results

I've never used anything like that. Those kinda things can be a bit touch-and-go in terms of them actually working though. I'd save up and get it done with the actual laser whitening at the dentist or where ever.
