After a week of applying, campaigning, canvassing, debating and more the 2015 HabboxForum General Election has finally come to an end and here are the results.
For the first time here at Habbox we used a Preferential Ranking voting system and it really gave me a headache! There were 30 voters altogether with 1 invalid vote which left 29 valid votes. To win the election, a party must secure an absolute majority which means 50% of the votes so in this case, 15 votes to win.
First Count:
For this count, I looked at the parties marked No. 1
Action Plan Party: 0 votes
Bee Party: 10 votes
DW Party: 8 votes
Habbox Freedom: 0 votes
UHIP: 11 votes
As the Action Plan Party & Habbox Freedom both received no #1 votes, they are both eliminated and will not be victorious in this Election. As they have no voting cards to work from, DW Party is eliminated for being the party with the least amount of valid votes.
Second Count:
For this count I took those who voted DW Party No. 1 and checked which parties were voted No. 2 and added the amount to the respective tallies. The total votes now stand at:
Bee Party: 12 votes
UHIP: 12 votes
As the parties are now tied and have not reached absolute majority a third count must take place.
Third Count:
For the third count I took those who voted DW Party No. 1 and checked which parties were voted No. 3 and added the amount to the respective tallies. The total votes now stand at:
Bee Party: 14 votes
UHIP: 15 votes
Which means UHIP have successfully gained absolute majority with 51.72% of the vote and are the winners! Congratulations to UHIP and commiserations to the rest of the parties. The participating parties will all be given the Participation Award.
UHIP members have each won the following:
- Winner Award
- 3 Months of Habbox Forum VIP
- 100 Reputation Points
- 250 Tokens
- 50 Habbo Credits
Thank you to everyone who applied, took part, asked questions for the debate and tuned in and for giving the parties the support they needed! I'm sure I wil see you all in Feedback! :P
