The Events Department are bringing in a funky new style of hosting! Of course we have our regular events hosts, but we want to give you, the Habbox community the chance to host some events too. Periodically, there will be a Community Hosting Event held where any member of the Habbox community can host a round of an event. The reasoning behind this new event style is that we feel some of you lovely people would like to host some events, but might not have a room to host them in, or prizes to give. These events will take place in Meanies' room and any prizes will be provided for you, unless you choose to provide your own.
When one of these events is going to take place, this thread will be updated with the details ahead of schedule and a Community Notice Board Announcement will be posted before the event is due to start. If you want to take part and host a round during the event, all you need to do is turn up to the event and let Meanies know that you want to host a round and it will be arranged during the event. The events held for Community Hosting will remain basic to allow more members the chance to host and can range from Fridge Races to Heaven or Hell and many in between! All events will be supervised and Meanies will be present to take care of any issues or concerns that may arise.
This scheme is currently being run on a trial basis and we will see how it goes. If it proves popular, it will continue and if not it will be phased out. Our eventual goal is that some members may enjoy the hosting opportunity so much that they choose to join the Events Department. If someone really stands out as a great host, they may even be offered a trial in the department on the spot. At the moment, Community Hosting is only open to members of HabboxForum so that we can keep track of people and take action if necessary as for most events, the host will require rights in the room. If this feature is abused then the host in question will be banned from hosting during any Community Hosting event.
