Skype Problems

Hey, so a thread about this was made by Kimmy (I think) a little while ago and my problem is kind of the same but it appears to be happening much more frequently and kinda differently...

I keep getting all these different people adding me on Skype and proceeding to say things like "Hey, I just want to chat" or people asking me to go on cam and things :$ To put this lightly they all seem to be after the same thing..x but I don't know why :( Sometimes they don't even ask; I can accept them and be about to talk to them but they just go ahead and video call me... I've never answered one of them lol.

I've had the odd few add me for the past month but it's been getting worse and last night I had 9 different contact requests in the last 8 and a half hours.

I've tried talking to two of them and they do actually seem to be real people. And they're not advertising for anything anyway.

UGH. I've already deleted that guy because it was freaking me out but I'm sick of all these contact requests. Any suggestions? (Preferrably that involve not having to speak to them :() For now I think I'll be making a new Skype and telling any new contacts I actually want to keep to add me.

It's happening a lot. I had someone asking me if I wanted a good time and saying stuff about her flatmate had gone out and that she was 'ready'..............

My friend irl had some weird guy apparently from Afghanistatin trying to talk to her too. I've only had the one though.

I get them all the time too, it seems to be bots. they say allmost the same thing and after a while they will say something like, "come chat with me in my chatroom, skype is not safe enough, www.insertpervertlinksomewherehere.com/hack.php"

Thing is, I haven't been getting that at all. I've been getting people video calling me, responding normally to my questions, asking me questions back and then clearly responding to my response...

My friend is adamant that I've been added to some online webcam porn kind of thing for some reason but idk why that would happen or why they'd choose me.

well they can find you by just writing some random name in the search field of skype, they will probably find 10 different persons and just add all of them

No I added a few of them to try and talk to them to see if they were bots or what but some of them just immediately called me so I deleted those ones :'(

I had this problem a while ago but it doesn't seem to happen as much now which is good!

Yeah, it's happened to me too, skype use to be pretty good with keeping spammer off but now they're always on.
