You've come a long way from trying to shift hard copies of that sadist film to habboxforum members all those years ago :P Very well written and certainly called for a second watch, just a shame it's only a few minutes long, I want the whole story!!!
Also annoying that the clocks are fifteen minutes apart - was this deliberate? for what purpose?

That was a long time ago. I don't use these forums any more, I feel far too old. I dropped the film here as a few users who follow me on Twitter wanted to see it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
The clocks being apart time-wise is deliberate. The narrative isn't linear.

WHEN IS CHEER4FEAR COMING OUT
Someone remind me to watch this tomorrow when I'm back home I am genuinely interested
Bloody hell that was brilliant. I remember people took the piss for thinking you couldn't make it and you were ****, but anybody who watches that would be eating their words right now. Very well done.
Brilliant short film, really nicely done and made me continue watching it. Thanks for sharing.
That was class! Well done to you :)

Never.
Thanks.

That was great.
The twist was fantastic. I loved the change in background music shortly before the reveal. I expected him to be being held at gunpoint, definitely didn't expect that ending.

Must say, if I had stopped watching the film before the end I was going to be incredibly critical. The ending took me by surprise though. Well done :)
Difficult to judge it really; relatively boring footage - but can't really do much about that, given that it was more of a narrative piece.
A friend of mine also does a lot of film directing and producing so not overly surprised at the quality etc. Good work getting such an established actor, too.

What was boring about the shots in your opinion?

Went in expecting nothing but came out wanting more. The only thing that didn't make much sense to me is that Harry started tearing up when he evidently didn't care all that much, but maybe I'm looking at it too one dimensionally. So, what's after this? :O

Harry shows displeasure at the photo of his father but tears up when looking at the picture of his mother in the wedding dress. They're the photos we see at the beginning.
In terms of what's next I just directed a feature-length crime thriller with Vinnie Jones that'll be out either at Christmas or early next year, and I'm always involved in producing, namely Age of Kill which is doing the press rounds at the minute.

With the working title it may have sounded fairly awful but it was what it was, a very self-aware horror-comedy. It was a fun script and very nearly went into production, but sadly the producer passed away not too far into the process. Being in the position that I'm in now I wouldn't want to revisit that project.
Back on the subject of DONE IN, this was a nice coup last year.

I watched it in full, but wasn't pay full attention so didn't get it that much. Either way, it is great film etc. I've never watched what you previously made although I remember you posting them so I'd love to compare then to now. Keep these coming, they're great!! Stick around :D I knew when I saw your post it would be another video, so thought I'd watch them years later haha

I'm glad I waited until I was back with the time to sit and take note of everything going on in this rather than watching it with laptop speakers rustling and conversations going on through the viewing. Have to say I really liked it - the twist made it actually a lot more human and emotive where it may otherwise have been a contrived monologue set around a pretty house (as a side note the kitchen looked amazing I want to cook my chicken nuggets there, buy me that house please) and there was just the right amount of threads left open vs tapered off, which I had partway through thought might be a problem as it seemed a lot was being explained. I'm not a master of lighting and lenses and all that so can't properly comment on that side of things but the writing is
http://i8.glitter-graphics.org/pub/605/605438iykiapsxkw.gif
and deserving of a glittery gif, the idea of what is "meant" to be written in such a situation was manipulated in a really silky fashion, I really can't fault the lines at all. Honestly I was expecting something that was well put together but done with a media grad in-crowd feel to it with the sort of pretentious nonsense that I've become used to from most people who find themselves in artistic industries, but this is actually something that anyone could sit and watch, and I genuinely applaud the effort and the outcome

Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. The film has been around the festival block internationally since it premiered in Cannes last year and there hasn't been a single negative review, which I'm very proud of. I'm quite sure the same won't be said for the feature I just directed.

I don't think I've ever posted anything on here that I've been involved with in terms of video. Possibly trailers, but I don't think so. I produced these films:

my brother loves watching those gangster movies so I've seen bits of we still kill the old way (seemed your standard fare but I never saw it all). didn't realise there was a Habbox connection.
