- Crisps were positioned under Ramadan banner in Liverpool Street, London
- Many Muslims don't eat in the day during festival and avoid pork products
- Tesco was forced to move the display following widespread derision
- Pringles do not actually contain pork and use flavouring to gain their taste

Can't see what the commotion is considering it contains no pork.

Because it sounds a bit like a loophole in the whole thing like "hehe god you can't punish me because this isnt REALLY pork" maybe? Just a guess as I have no idea. But it's like some vegetarians don't want to eat fake meat because that takes away from the point of not eating meat.

I thought the whole thing was funny and hope there aren't too many outraged people on the internet. I bet the majority of those outraged probably didn't even know what Ramadan was until a few hours ago anyway and just like to jump on the bandwagon of hate lol!

But that's so stupid. So vegetarians don't eat meat based on what it looks like as opposed to what it's actually made of. So they don't eat vegetarian things if it looks like/packaged as if it were meat. That's crazy.

Yeah its pretty funny to be honest. This makes me think of Quorn products that are shaped, coloured and flavoured to taste like real meat but its really jst tofu or what ever else they make Quorn products from.

There's a Muslim guy in work and they were talking about this and they just laughed. Think too many people take this stuff seriously. It's not even real bacon!

Heads will be exploding at the BBC, Independent and Guardian over this.

Meanwhile, the rest of us - Christians or Muslims - are laughing.
