View Full Version : Tooth Extraction
I was wondering how many of you have had a tooth extracted?
So far I've only had one extraction. It hurt a lot seen as though I have twisted roots - half the root is still in my mouth too as it snapped during extraction. I have to go to the hospital if I need anymore out - which is likely as my wisdom tooth is really bad now.

I've had a normal tooth removed when I was like 12? I had one of my canines removed as it was a baby tooth and the adult tooth was growing over it. I had went to the dentist about it and they said it was fine, but it never fell out so had to be removed :( now I have a wonky tooth

I've had 3 removed from my actual dentist due to them being heavily filled, I have a palette now meaning no nerves so I can eat cold or hot food easily. I've had to have 4 removed under general anaesthetic at the hospital, the orthodontist told me I would need these 4 removing in order to get braces, yet after it was done I apparently still couldn't have them/didn't need them, so that was pointless. Although, where I've had them out you can't tell in 2 places, you can tell on one side as they were 2 together so I've had that gap for around 6/7 years now. When I go to the dentist for a check up though she always says 1 of my back molars are missing, so she might have taken that out too, but I can't tell due to my wisdom tooth growing there instead. However, fingers crossed I haven't had any extractions for 5 years now, but I'm at the dentist for a check up next week so I might have jinxed that.

Yeah I had 2 perfectly healthy teeth out years back when I was going to have my braces. :( Wasn't pleasant at the time, but it was worth it! :)

i almost had to have 3 out for my braces but they said itd make my chin huge so was like er no
seems to be fine without having them removed though so fab

I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed, but I was put to sleep as the roots were so twisted and the teeth were rubbing my cheeks - the aftermath wasn't very nice, however the procedure is very straight forward!

I had 2 removed for my braces, such a weird sensation during and after! The anaesthetic needles were horrible, the worst part, but the rest was fine! Just strange :P

1 due to infection which caused a butt load of abscesses and lots of pain, even after 6 rounds on injections I could still feel it being tugged out ugh horrible.
3 out for braces because my mouth was too small and it was causing over crowding. Took half an hour to 40 minutes for each one because I had 4/5 roots on each rather than the normal 2/3..

I've had 6 teeth out lmfao. I had 4 out when I was like 13 and 2 out when I got my brace on
Had 1 adult molar removed on christmas eve lmao. was in so much pain and got sent for an x ray and they said if there was no wisdom tooth underneath it they'd do a root canal to save it but there was a wisdom tooth pushing up underneath it, so i was on antibiotics and had it removed. having it removed wasnt too bad although i could hear the twisting and grating of the tooth root and never felt pain like it after the anaesthetic wore off, my god

I've had two root canals and I need two more (you'd think I never brushed my teeth, I just have no luck with dentists), but the fact is that each root canal costs like £90, like I can afford that twice over just casually?! So I'm just waiting till after my holiday :l

I had to get one out, thankfully it was only a baby tooth but I had to go to the hospital to get it out as I also had a fully developed tooth in the top of my mouth which didn't come down because the baby tooth was still there. I now have braces to pull that tooth down into place.
