View Full Version : Night Shifts
Where do you work and do you ever have to do night shifts? If no, would you ever be willing to take a job which includes them. If yes, how to you preare for them? Do you not find yourself wrecked throughout the ngiht or is there something that helps you?
I cant work night shift's as i am under aged, but i would probably prefer a job where i had to work at night, my mother has been working night shifts for the last 20 years, i've seen her routine and i would probably follow it if i was to work a night shift. Sleep allot, eat healthy and regulary, and train allot.

I'm 17 at the moment and I would personally love to work night shifts because I'm like a owl, I'm always awake at night. After I finish college i will try get night shifts at a work placement but in England you can't do them under the age of 18 :/
I work in Starbucks and no never do night shifts and if I was told I would prob say no. Night shifts scare the $%$# out of me.
I thought of posting this thread like 2 weeks ago when my gf got a job. She just started working in a hospital and has to do 12 hour night shifts starting next week. She has like 3 night shifts and two day shifts. How can you even prepare for that?!
I kinda have one Sunday. We have a VIP wedding in the hotel and I'm working from 6pm-5am

I sometimes work overnight in the News Room. I'm a journalist and there has to be someone in our news room 24/7 to handle breaking stories etc, but it's very rare I do so and it's usually to cover someone else. I don't really like doing them though, the hours are usually 11pm-8am.
I never work nights, but my partner does. He works for Sainsbury's night shift (10PM - 8AM) and he absolutely hates it. He claims that it ruins his social life as he works Friday evening and Saturday evening through to early hours of the morning and never has time to go out.
