It's not a huge secret that I do not own a mobile phone. I know I'm in a tiny minority with this one but I really don't see much point of them. Emergencies? Well, emergencies are rare and if I was in a really serious emergency, it's not like I'd be capable of using the phone anyway. Keep in touch with friends? Call me old-fashioned but I just prefer meeting face to face and talking there rather than texting with friends all day. Free wifi? Omg I go outside to get away from the internet not stay on it.

For this competition, I want you to be the best salesman (or woman) ever and sell me a mobile phone. Why should I have one? What does this phone have that other phones don't? If you can convince me why I should have one when I avoid using them as much as possible then perhaps you will have a promising career in sales. The best sales pitch will win, good luck!

I don't own a mobile phone either, so you're not alone on this forum Mike!

Why should you have one? So you can try and beat my ping-pong score on the go while I can't... if it's even possible to do so on the internet on the phone

so you can call 999 when 5 men come into your house at night with guns and knives and you can hide under the bed and quietly dial 999 :)

A phone has come a long way since the days of just texting and phoning someone to have a chat. It has become a way of life for so many and I think you are out of the loop somewhat by not having one. When I say it has expanded from texting and talking, I mean on phones nowadays you can pretty much do anything you can think of - especially if it is a phone with apps.

You like getting off the Internet and going outside, well a phone can help track your fitness, the amount of steps you take and can give you ideas on planning a healthy diet for when you go back home. This could predominantly help in the long run, but it also means you can just casually have your phone on your persons, but not necessarily be constantly on it!

A phone can be used for emergencies, which you have covered. However, you talk about emergencies for yourself, yet a phone is more required for those who have an emergency around you. You see a fight break out, you see someone fall over and break a bone, you see anything like that and you need to take initiative and get help fast. Admittedly you could get someone else to do this, but there will be a time when no one else is around.

I know you like reading books, and I know it's not the conventional way to read, but eBooks are always expanding and you can read from your phone on the go without the weight of a book in your hand! You might like the feel of a book, but if you're travelling you're not going to want a massive thing weighing you down! Plus, on an eBook a phone isn't the only surface to read on, a tablet and laptop can come into use with this - and you can read in the dark without the need of a light.

It is a great way to meet new people and socialise, applications are unlimited with different games and different methods of communication to stay in touch with friends. When you see Habbox people, you could even tell them when you have arrived, where you are and what you're wearing to make sure they can find you easily.

Finally, you could potentially listen to HabboxLive on it, and who wouldn't want that?
