For me, it's to be who I am, not who or what I am expected to be.

I can't really think of just 'one' important lesson I've learnt in life - over the past few years I've learnt quite a few prominent ones. Such as:

- Friends will come and go
- If you don't stop and look enough, life will very quickly flash before your eyes
- Nothing's fixed and you have the power to change your own life however you desire
- Sometimes you just gotta say **** it and go for it.

I suppose the most prominent one is probably that, at the end of the day, all you ever have is yourself and you must protect your sense of individuality and not carelessly throw it away just to 'conform' with other people's expectations/wants.

even if it leaves you completely alone, it's always best to remove toxic people from your life.
random acts of kindness to people around you and strangers can go a long way.
life's too short to waste your time doing things that don't make you happy.
we live in a world of chances where you are able to pursue anything you enjoy doing if you try hard enough.
