Newish Scam

Hey, I just thought I'd warn you about a newish scam. It's your typical hacking site that says you've been nominated for an award, but they've taken it one step further that may trick more people than it usually does.

They've started sending presents pretending to be staff with the scam link. Here's a picture:

Yeah, open the gift. You get a cheap piece of furni, and the scam text completely goes away. Shame these can't be reported :(

Hey, if they're willing to just send furni to random people... then all the best to them. Habbo stresses a lot about internet safety so those caught in scams like such are just incompetent on what right in front of them.

I'd like to think that anyone who is worth hacking would be smart enough to know a scam so blatant as that.

Alas, I could be wrong. In fact, I'm sure there's probably many worth hacking that are stupid enough. :rolleyes:

They've started sending out christmas presents that are saying go to a certain site to receive an xmas gift from habbo staff. That's really pathetic, especially when someones going to be hacked as a present on Christmas - of all days.

Every member here probably wouldn't fall for it, but still thought I'd post.

I think it was habboxmas.com - don't go on it! My present said: "Hi Mk,! We are giving HC members an extra present! Go to [sitelink] to get yours! - Habbo Staff"

Some people do stoop that low, I was hacked on Christmas Day 2009, not by a present (still don't know how), but it's shocking that they're still doing present hacking, I guess it's one of those things that is possibly harder to moderate therefore mods can't do much about it to a point.
