I don't really tip anyone since I don't really have a huge amount of disposable income. I'll only tip if they go well beyond what I expected, which isn't often.

Never get taxis so I don't tip them. I tip hairdressers, my hair cut is normally £17 so I tip £3. In a restaurant if the service was good then I tip around 10%. I do also tip bar staff as I work in a bar and I know that they're probably on a crap wage and still give good service, in most cases and I know the amount of abuse they have to put up with.
I never tip Taxi's any more,
I tip hairdressers/barbers... maybe a resturant in some cases
I DOTN SEE why people should be tipped for doing a job they are paid for IM NOT

I don't tip anyone - I'm not exactly rich myself and they're doing what they are meant to do, it's their job.

Taxis, usually it's 4 quid to town and I just give them a fiver cos I hate coins.
Hairdressers I leave a tip if they do a good job
Takeaways sometimes, usually I pay online though and I don't have any physical money!
Restaurants I wouldn't dream of leaving without tipping!
I know lots of people in public service jobs don't get paid much and although I'm hardly rich myself (far from it) a few pounds won't make a huge difference to me, whereas it might to them.

Is it bad that I don't remember ever tipping anyone personally?

tipping is not a custom here; i have never tipped anyone before. when i was in hongkong we were told to tip taxis as the rest of services arent really fussy but i dont think we ever did that :D

I always tip the wait staff at a restaurant, mostly just because you're expected to but to be fair Worthing actually has some really brilliant places to eat with staff who do make a difference to the experience so it's usually earned. Taxis I don't get often but if the charge comes close to an amount that I actually have (so like £8.60 and I have a tenner) I'll usually tell them to keep the change. Other than that nothing really unless I'm in a country where it's the custom... but then I'm usually with my dad who will do it instead

wait staff at restaurants
delivery drivers, it's so weird how none of you have said them when it's pretty standard practice here. There's even a box where you can input a tip on some of the sites
hair dressers

Wait staff are generally paid far less than other members of staff working in a restaurant because the employer will generally assume that their wages will be made up from tips. Hence why you will generally get a good service in most cases as they need the tip, I know I normally need the tips which I why I always offer fantastic service.

yes but in America, do waiters/waitresses not depend on their tips and only get paid a couple dollars an hour? cause over here they get paid minimum wage and at my work, any tips they get has to be put in a jar then shared out between everyone
oh you said delivery drivers. nope, never heard of tipping them?? never thought about it.

i want to say i don't get americans who tip for everything but maybe that's just on tv/movies. how would they have any money left?
there's also a good scene in reservoir dogs about tipping watch it here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-qV9wVGb38) :¬:

i work on a bar... i get tipped like crazy and i don't deserve it?? lol im already get an hourly wage so it's just an added bonus that i don't care about people giving me. i like my job, i aint there for the tips.
only restaurants and bars/pubs really. I used to tip my barber as well but my brother in law has a barber shop now so don't get charged obviously
I worked as a barman for 4 years and rarely got tipped, mainly because male. But always used to share a bar with 1 or 2 girls who used to get like 30 quid of tips a night and then that was shared
btw can't complain, but the amount of greasy lads that tip female bar staff to impress them is hilarious! I just tip them because I've been in their situation and it's awful

I don't really tip anyone tbh :P If in a restaurant and paying by card, they definitely won't get a tip. Only time someone may get a tip is if I'm paying with cash and it's a bit of rubbish change that would be coming back to me, or if a few drinks have been had and we get a taxi they might get to keep the change too!

ye that's my point like i don't get tipped for my "service", 96% of my tips are from men i assume are trying to flirt with me (eg the guy who gave me a fiver for having a beautiful smile yuck) and the rest are people who can't be bothered waiting for their change and just walk off. like i don't deserve a tip but it is nice if i've been working long hours or if iv gone out my way to do something for someone and they tip me for it.

In the UK - nobody.
In the US - everybody.
I always tip 50% what my bill is.
I'm most likely to tip restaurant staff if the food and service has been good. Also people who cut my hair and don't mess it up, they get a tip as well. Can't really think of anyone else.

i'll only tip if its a girl and i wanna bang her
Um I tipped my mom because I asked her to go buy me some cheaps and have her a dollar for the trip :)
I very rarely tip in UK. When I lived in USA, between 10-20% depending on service. Once I tipped 80% in USA because the service and food was nothing like I have ever tried before.

I'll only tip when an individual has specifically severed me, for example a hair cut or a taxi and then its normally just rounded up to the nearest 5.
I don't see the point of tipping restaurant staff, service is never normally anything out of the ordinary, plus you never know who's actually taking the tip, when I tip it's meant for the individual if I can't guarantee that then I'm not handing anything extra over.
